About this project
What does More Elevator commands add?
Did you know that?
This game has elevators.
Now you know!
However, I do not blame you for not knowing - they are not a survival mode thing to obtain. You need to specifically spawn the entity "elevator" via command (make sure to position it at the intersection of a 2x2 block grid). Then you need unobtainable control levers from the creative mode inventory. To make things look nicely, there is a very finicky clutter item to also grab from the creative inventory (the rail) with which you can try and line the inner sides of the 2x2 shaft for the elevator, lest it just asserts dominance be levitating.
If you DO know about elevators, however, you also know what comes next! And what usually doesn't... From here on out you have to create an elevator network for the elevator to move in using the dreaded, powerfully destructive /dev commands. There are exactly two for this purpose: "/dev elevator set-entity-net" to attach the elevator entity to a network name, and "/dev elevator set-block-net" to add a "stop" based on one of the control levers. But happens when you don't know how exactly the offset parameter for the stop works, test around and mess it up? Well, get fucked they say! Your elevator will now happily stop at that "stop", be it in the air or in the ground!
Worry not, I am here to remedy this. This mod adds 4 new commands to the /dev elevator suite:
- /dev elevator remove-block-net [network code] [y-level] (Alias: rbn)
Removes a stop at the given y-level (if existent) in the given network (if existent). As the system does not save where the actual lever block is, its data will not be cleaned up - but you can just break and replace it. - /dev elevator remove-entity-net [network code] (Alias: ren)
Removes the elevator (if existent) from the network (if existent) and cleans up its references - /dev elevator remove-net [network code] (Alias: rem)
Removes the entire network (if existent) - same effect as both of the above. - /dev elevator list-net ([network code]) (Alias: list)
Lists either all known elevator networks (if no network code given) or lists all stop y-levels of the given network (if existent)
Happy, comfortable elevating!
