About this project

What does ChunkReloader add?

This mod is an unofficial rebuild of the Resonance Archives Regen mod. I am intending to start hosting a server and open it to the public. So I needed a reliable way of resetting story locations and loot in a more viable and reliable way.

This mod is an almost exact rebuild that has been updated to 1.22.6. In addition to the original content and functions, I added a blue highlighted field to show the selected chunks that will be reset to world gen.

Update News:

Newest update is here! With the addition of 6 new commands, I have also created a GUI for you to handle the process from anywhere in the world. Simply press the [ key, and it will open the GUI. You will be able to select through the /setpos list of zones and change the color of the highlighted boxes around the chunks. You can also edit the zone and change the flavor text of the warnings to fit your server or story best!

2.3.12:

Adds Config Lib support for timer changes.

Adds buttons for Early Reset and Forced Reset commands.

How to Use

  1. Find the dungeon you want to reset.
  2. Stand at the main gate leading to the surface stairs.
  3. Use the /setpos <name> command to mark and name the location.
  4. The mod will activate and set the regeneration timer to 8-13 in-game days.

Commands

  • /setpos <name> – Sets the dungeon chunk coordinates (or any place you stand).

  • /ckpos <name> – Shows the currently set chunk coordinates.

  • /freset <name> – Forces an immediate reset.

  • /dungeontime – Shows remaining in-game days until reset.

  • /toggledungeontime – Enables/disables the /dungeontime command.

  •  /zonetext <name> <key> <text> – Sets custom warning/message text for the named zone (Keys: globalwarning1, globalwarning2, insidewarning1, insidewarning2, resetstarted, resetsuccess, automaticreset, pushaway, globalwarning4, globalwarning5).

  • /chunkzones – Lists the names of all currently defined zones.

  • /earlyreset <name> – Forces a reset within 2 minutes, skipping the normal warning sequence in favor of two new messages (globalwarning4 instantly, globalwarning5 at 1 minute).

  • /deletepos <name> – Permanently deletes the named zone's saved position and all its data.

  • /dehighlight <name> – Removes the highlighted box shown by /ckpos for the named zone.

  • /chunkgui <name> - opens the GUI for the ChunkReloader.

'<name>' allows you to separate the zones to be able to use on story locations and BetterRuins locations. This is required in order to set Zones. (Technically, it works on anything that was generated on the world seed start.)

Event Behavior

  • When the reset timer reaches zero, a "lore-friendly" warning will appear.
  • 10 minutes later – A second warning is sent.
  • 5 minutes after that – The reset occurs.
  • If a player is in the reset area, they will receive an additional warning to leave.
  • If ignored, the player will be teleported to their spawn point to prevent getting stuck in unloaded chunks.

Note for the users:

  • You cannot delete a zone while a reset is in place. The reset will complete, and deletion of saved zone may not complete.

  • Once the /freset has been started, the /earlyreset <name> cannot be used. You cannot stack resets.
  • Safe for single player worlds as well. However, do not log out while the reset is happening. It will stop the reset. This requires the server/instance to be live in order for the reset to complete. (Hence why there is an early reset command now).
  • Feedback is highly encouraged.

As always, use chunk regeneration with absolute care!! Backup your world saves somewhere. This does not revert your faults in your build. This WILL delete any player placed blocks.

Ownership:

If requested to remove this by the original mod maker: Takarams, I will. As this was built with their mod as the entire foundation, I must respect their wishes.
