To use it, put it in one of the 4 inventory expansion slots on your hotbar, select that hotbar slot, and Crouch+Right click your pet.

Known Issues

German shephard pup in backpack from outside might appear white.

Picking up of corgis and wolfdog pups has been temporarily disabled due to crashes.
