Features:

📖Guide book:

• An in-game handbook page specifically dedicated to teaching you all about the mod and how to get started! Just search for soap!
• Now with clickable links!

🪵Wood ash:

• Can be made from burning any logs with hard woods yielding more product.
• Mix with water in a barrel to produce liquid lye.

🫙Lye (liquid):

• Used as a suppliment for limewater when soaking hides.
• Main ingredient for making lye soap bars.

🧼Soap bars:

• The base of all soaps and only requires some fat and lye in a barrel.
• Lye soap bars are made first and can be used to produce liquid lye soap or scented by adding honey.
• Now stackable up to 72 per block of space!

🧴Liquid soap:

• Primarily used for removing mordant from cloth, dyes from cloth & leather, and to clean out dirty cooking pots.
• Honey soap is worth the trouble to craft as it can clean/remove dye for half the cost as plain liquid lye soap!

🌱Potash:

• Potash fertilizer (vanilla) can now be made by heating water and wood ash in a cooking pot.

• Added missing recipe to convert honey soap bars into liquid honey.
• Removed ability to eat soap bars in preparation for future soap washing mechanic.
• Increased stack size of soap bars to 32.
• Reduced time to make soap in barrels.
• Changed ground storage of soap bars to stack up to 72 per block space.
• Changed recipe groups for soap to make it clear that honey soap works twice as efficiently.
• Changed mod name from "Just Soap and Lye" to "Soap and Lye".

Notes:

 

• For the moment this mod is slightly incompatible with Wildcraft Trees being that you can only make wood ash from cooking red wood log sections or by placing wildcraft trees "charred logs" into the crafting grid (thanks CrazedVantaBlack!). I am working with the developer for compatibility.
