Quick answer
Which Pasta Patch release should I use?
Pasta Patch 1.0.2 targets 1.21.1, 1.21.2-rc.1, 1.21.2-rc.2. It must be installed on the client. Installation on the dedicated server is optional. All 2 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Pasta Patch required on the client, server, or both?
It must be installed on the client. Installation on the dedicated server is optional.
This release supports both sides, but the source does not require it on the server.
What else does Pasta Patch 1.0.2 need?
1.0.2. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Expanded Foods: Core 2.0.0-dev, A Culinary Artillery 2.0.0-dev first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 1 comes through another mod in the chain.
1 extra mod was pulled in by another dependency. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Pasta Patch add?
NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR EXPANDED FOODS 2.0.0-DEV.7 AND ONWARDS (Jan 13, 2026)
Please be advised that, as of the latest EF release, dried pasta is now fully integrated into EF, and further use of this mod is unecessary and ill-advised.
Allows the pasta from Expanded Foods to be dried for longer-term storage.
Placing cut pasta noodles into a heated oven will allow them to bake into dried noodles, that last about a year before slowly (as in, takes half a year) spoiling, no cellar required.
Keeping your dried noodles in the oven overlong will char them, which I tried to lower the satiety of but don't think is working properly. Burnt noodles last a year and a half before spoiling. Continuing to bake charred noodles will eventually turn them into charcoal, hahaha, though you might need to reheat your oven to accomplish that.
Pasta drying should work with acorn pasta if you have Acorns or the tree-bark pastas if you have Ancient Tools.
Eating the dried noodles gives you very little satiation - you want to cook it first to get the full nutrition! Dried noodles should work in meals; both the simmering meal for cooked pasta as well as the cooking pot meals for soups and stews.
A couple caveats:
- Extra saturation for pasta is kinda borked (just a +1 across the board instead of properly tracking ingredients) but that seems to be an Expanded Foods thing that kicks in when you first roll out your dough, completely separate from my stuff. I can't fix that.
- All the recipes involving the Ancient Tools bark flours are also kinda borked, but that is also coming straight from Expanded Foods, not from me. I specifically patched in the pasta dough recipes to work properly, but considered patching all the other doughs and bread products to be out of scope for this mod and my sanity
- The pastas aren't actually supposed to rotate like that in the oven (they're all supposed to all face the same way), but I find it really funny so I left it in
