About this project
What does StorageCrafting add?
The Crafting Bench™
A powerful tool that is able to scan the surrounding area for nearby storage containers, providing an overview of what you can craft from the ingredients available.
The default scanning radius is 5 blocks (configurable), but if placed in a room it will scan the whole room.
All containers with an inventory are recognized and scanned for content. It even supports barrels and buckets placed on ground where it reads the liquid content as a direct ingredient, provided you have an empty liquid container like a bowl available as a tool to scoop up the liquid.
Tool racks, shelves, display cases and ground storage are all available for storage of tools and liquid containers, but won't recognize item ingredients. This way you can store away items you do not wish to use for crafting.
The Crafting Bench™ interface shows the current list of all available recipes to craft.
Hovering over a craftable item will provide a tooltip showing the recipe, how many you can craft, the ingredients needed and the amount that are in storage.
Building: The Crafting Bench™:
- The recipe can be found in the handbook.
- The recipe is how it is, because it should be locked behind progression and only take over, when Salty's Radial Crafting gets too flooded with recipes.
- The required hardwood variants needed, is to make it a big achievement finding those resources and thus being able to craft the table.
Instructions:
- "Right-click" on The Crafting Bench™ to open the GUI.
- "Right-click" outside the GUI window to close it.
- The search bar is autofocused from the start, so you can start type immediately.
- "Left-click" on a recipe to craft 1 time.
- "Left-clicking" on an empty spot in the GUI window removes the focus from the search bar and unlocks the following functionality:
- "shift + left-click" crafts the whole craftable amount.
- "Holding: ctrl + scrolling up/down with mousewheel" lets you select how many you want to craft. Amount will be shown in tooltip.
Config:
If "EnableStorageSearch" = false, then only the player inventory will be scanned.
I made this mod to take over mid/late game, when Salty's Radial Crafting gets too flooded with craftable recipes. That's why The Crafting Bench™ is so expensive to make.
