About this project
What does TorchFire add?
This adds a burning effect to dropped/thrown torches. Burn that wood house down, burn that forest... hear the afflicted scream in pain? This will do the trick!
1.3.0 Update - Added a safety period for when you break to pick up a torch, you now have a default 3 seconds to pick up the torch before it will start fires. This is configurable in the TorchFireMod.json config under the /ModConfig directory (default location for all mod configs).
NEW - Start fires with arrows!
1) Have a burning torch in your off hand
2) Or have a burning torch 'placed' on the ground. (stand within 1 block).
All arrows fired will be lit and cause the same effect as the torch.
Additionally burned roof blocks will now drop some aged boards/firewood/coal items.
Placed torches are still relatively safe, dropped, broken or thrown torches will catch things on fire! The torch will also likely be consumed.
Note: don't just put a torch on a wall just anywhere, think about what's nearby just in case - I don't assume responsibility for your placement actions!
Sometimes the torch doesn't start a fire! Just pick it back up and throw it someplace a bit more likely to burn.
Standard usage applies! Use at own risk! (I've tested!).
If you end up using this code or want to include it in a pack, ask me or give credits!
Thanks :)
