About this project
What does RainNerfed add?
Configurable under VintagestoryData/ModConfig/RainfallNerfedConfig.json with two variables: MaxRainDays (0.25) and LockHoldDays (2.0)
This allows you to set how long in days (0.25 == 1/4 day == 6 hours) game time it can rain for, and the cooldown period in days (2.0 == 2 days == 48 hours) game time it will not allow rain to start.
This is very early testing and has no residual effect if tried/removed.
I tried many many ways to alter the rain and after this period settled on this method, which is a bruteforce way to handle it but it's working so far so I thought I'd share.
Server commands(you need admin - or use directly in the server interface):
/rainstatus Returns the suppression state and settings from the config as well as the time left in the cooldown.
/rainstopnow That does what it says! if the sky looks wonky after I think just reloading the client will fix it.
/rainreload After changing the config (noted above) use this command to update the settings.
NOTE: Just because the LockHoldDays cooldown expires it doesn't mean you will have instant rain.. it will then allow the game to determine rain normally after that period. Also after the rain aborts the sky might look strange, but that cleared after I quit and re-joined the server.
If you hate rain and need some relief - try it, I don't offer any refunds or words of condolences if some character were to die from lack of rain... USE AT OWN RISK... :)
