About this project

What does Full Stat GUI - Barebones Framework add?

What it is

[[Designed for as a barebones framework for modders to flesh out!]]

FullStatGUI is a small client-only Vintage Story mod that adds an extra scrollable panel on the character screen (open with C / your bound key for the same dialog). The panel is titled “Full stat readout (vanilla+)” and shows a long, live-updated list of the player’s agreed mechanics: blended Entity.Stats values, selected WatchedAttributes (including nested trees where needed), and a full text walk of the hunger TreeAttribute (every key, nested subtrees, human-readable values).

It does not add blocks, items, or server logic. It does not change your stats; it only displays what the client already has.

Purpose

The game’s normal Stats panel is built for a playable, simplified readout (health, satiety, a few % lines, body temperature, etc.). Modders and curious players often need a second layer: a transparent, name-aligned “telemetry strip” that uses the same internal names and structures they see in code (walkspeedhungerratehealingeffectivness, the hunger tree, etc.).

  • Transparency: See the same blended stat layer the engine uses, as percent of baseline where that matches how people read the default UI, plus a vanilla-style body-temperature line that matches the default character text (so it lines up with the main Stats column).
  • Debugging and comparison: When another mod (or a server rule) alters Stats or WatchedAttributes, you can open this panel and confirm what your client is showing at that moment—useful for reporting bugs or checking balance.
  • Modder literacy: The hunger section is a legible tree dump (not binary encoding), so you can read exact attribute keys and values without attaching a debugger.

It is not a replacement for the main Stats UI, not a multiplayer “inspect other players” tool, and not a guarantee of server truth (the client shows synced data; the server is still authoritative for anything that does not sync every tick).
