About this project

What does Coral's Server Utils add?

This server utility package currently comes with 4 modules:

Each module can be disabled and enabled through the config file.

Ring shaped worldgen commands. use at your own risk

Description: Various worldgen commands can now be used in the shape of a ring, if for example you wanted to delete chunks in a ring around spawn, or regenerate everything beyond x radius.

Usage:

Supported commands  :  /wgen ring del/regen/pregen innerradius outerradius

example: /wgen ring del  10  20    - this would delete chunks 10 chunks away from the player, and leave any chunks further than 20 alone.

Additionally there is an experimental support for /db ring prune innerradius outerradius  treshold drop confirm

Player death logging.

This module create a player deathlog file and writes to it everytime a player dies. It makes note of the player's username, UID, death coords and time of death.

I added this because occasionally using player corpses mods, corpses would vanish and having this log made verifying if a corpse has vanished near their death easier. as well as teleporting to it.

tracking of teleport locations and usage of a /back command.

This one is very simple, you teleport, type /back, voila! you're back to where you were before.  It also keeps a history of teleports so you can do /back multiple times.

First time join greeter.

A rewrite of my first mod for this game, Upon joining the game, the mod will check if the player is already a registered UID, and if it is the player's first time joining the server, it will show a special message in chat.

Those messages can be configured in the CoralServerUtilWelcomeMessages.json config file.

The configs are simply strings, they can be any message. using {playername} in the string will dynamically replace it with the player's name. You can also format them using VTML

Using VTML you can make text of different sizes, colors, various effects. You can highlight a certain word, make certain words colored.

Currently known issues:

  • Several players joining rapidly may cause the mod to incorrectly flag the new user as non-new due to other joins also updating the table. I'm aware of that flaw and it will be fixed in a later version.
