What is Ion?

Ion is a modpack with 18 essential optimization mods for Minecraft. Simply put, this helps your game run smoother, quicker, and more reliably without changing any part of the normal vanilla experience.

Why would I need this?

Ion can extremely benefit those with lower-spec computers or those who want to run multiple things at once (such as Minecraft and editing software at once) without Minecraft becoming overly resource demanding.

Variations:

  • Nvidia - Only works with Nvidia GPUs and does not have shader support (better performance than Shaders)
  • Shaders - (Recommended) Works with Nvidia, Intel, AMD, and Apple Silicon GPUs and has shader support

Important to note:

  1. Ion is not allowed in speedrunning
