Tsundere Unity: Nostalgia Blast

We all played or watched old-modded Minecraft. What if we made a pack with current standards that don't require weird file-dropping shenanigans or bugs/incompatibilities? That's our main base idea for this 1.7.10 pack!

Goals

Let's talk about what we try to accomplish with this pack!

Nostalgia Blast

As the name implies, we used all the lovely mods that all old packs had and must have, with their updated forks! So you can enjoy old packs as you want!

No need for any complicated installation

We should be able to play old modded Minecraft without the need of installing a specific version of java or spend hours on a specific bug that only happened in 2012 and the solution is "Oh I figured it out". We will do that for you instead! ugh

Equally powered game styles

In a usual pack, you should go for Mekanism most of the time, op armor, op tool, extreme amounts of energy, etc. But we tweaked the mods to the "perfect" amount so that you will need to spread your wings and use multiple mods to progress properly!

Optimization

Even though this is 1.7.10, it lags when a pack is poorly optimized, that is why we looked all around and found every single optimization and bug fix mod that is necessary and configured them as needed!

Variety

Most of the time mods are only about tech or magic, we tried to synthesize that and create a great kitchen-sink modpack! In fact, we searched through all of CurseForge, Modrinth, and Github¹ multiple times to find all the good forks/new mods/QoL mods possible!

Enough talk about our goals, let's see what we can provide!

Mod List

Let's start with libraries then start with actual stuff!²

Libraries

FTB-Library: Used as a library for FTB-Utilities

Gas Station: Used for adding Mixins!

Apple Core: "An API for modifying the food and hunger mechanics of Minecraft."

Baubles: A fork of baubles that adds extra slots for stuff like rings/necklaces/belts etc.

Code Chicken Library Code Chicken Core: Two dependency mods that is needed for Not Enough Items, forked and improved by GregTech team.

Cofh Core Cofh Library:Library made for Team COFH mods

Ender Core: Library for EnderIO

False Pattern Lib: A library mod that solves ASM/Mixin incompatibility issues!(I don't know what that means either but it stops pack from crashing so... shrug)

Forge Multi Part: You know how some mods have multiple pipes in one block, yeah that's the library for that.

FoxLib: A library mod for Ears and Tails mod!

GregTech Library: A library for Gregtech team forked mods!

GregTech Mixins Lite: More mixin support mods!

Guide API: Library to add in game books...

Mantle: A library mod that even I dont know what it does... But without it pack crashes :p

Metallurgy Core: A core mod needed for Metallurgy 4 mod.

mcjtylib: RFTools library mod!

MixinExtras: Mixins? MIXINS! PRAY TO GREGORY FOR THE MIXIN HARVEST SEASON!

Mixingasm: Solves more issues between asm and mixin loading order!

Openmods Lib: A lib needed for OpenBlocks mod.

Ore Dictionary Initializer: Now you can use your 9 types of copper to craft the same thing!

Uniq: Now there's only 1 type of copper... whoops :p

ResourceLoader: Used to load resources in Custom Main Menu!

Reborn Core: We dont have tech reborn... We just need the libraries ;-; please believe me!

BdLib: Used as a library in multiple mods!

Additions

FTB-Utilities: Used for claims.

Actually Additions: Adds ton of cool stuff!

AOBD: Makes ores drop their raw variant!

Backlytra: Adds a craftable elytra from 1.9!

Craft Tweaker Mod Tweaker: Used to customize recipes.

Custom Main Menu: Used to edit main menu!

Dense Ores: Dense ore blocks that give more stuff when broken!

Ears Tails: Yeah devs are furries >:C

EnderIO: EVERYTHING!

EnderIO Addons: EVERYTHING... With extras?

Ender Utitilies: Little bit of everything revolved around ender theme!

Extra Utitilies: So much stuff you could even wish for, check up their page, Its cool I swear!

Fossils and Archeology: Adds dinosaurs and lots of cool archeology stuff!

Loot Bags: Mobs drop loot bags with cool stuff inside them!

Mowzie's Mobs: Adds tons of new mobs!

Pam's Harvestcraft: Adds lots of plants and food types!

Random Things: Random stuff that should be in base-game!

Spice of Life: Makes eating same thing repetitively decrease its saturation.

It's The Little Things: Used for changing the branding and game icon.

Et Futurum Requiem: Adds new version stuff to... old version... sorry my brain- sentences are hard ok?

Waystones: Lets you teleport long distances for XP.

Bug Fixes

Locale Fixer: Fixes crash for some people with non-english computers!

Better Crashes: Makes crashing exit to main menu instead of fully leaving when possible

Bigger Packets Please: Increases packet size to stop crashing on joining servers.

Healer: "Patch up CVE-2021-44228 for minecraft"

Hodgepodge: Lots of optimization/customizations for base game AND multiple mods

Loot++: It is used for disabling buggy stuff from generating in chests!

Modern Keybinding: Adds and fixes few issues about controls.

Nether Portal Fix: Fixes portals sending players to incorrect locations.

Netty Patcher: "A mod to fix this bug."

BiblioCraft: Storage and organizational mod that features books.

BiomesOPlenty: Mod that adds lots of new unique biomes.

Carpenter's Blocks: Ultimate builders mod.

Chisel: Mod used to get many different versions of one block.

MetallurgyChisel: Compatibility mod between Chisel and Metallurgy.

MoreChisels: Chisel add-on that adds more chisels

MrCrayfish'sFurnitureMod: Furniture mod used to add all kinds of things.

Blood Magic Greglorified magic mod about blood and sacrifices.

Blood Arsenal: Gregged magic mod that improves Blood Magic.

Botania: Flower MAGIC!

Nova: Another mod that improves Blood Magic mod.

ThaumCraft: Spreading taint to your whole base simulator.

ThaumCraft Tweaks: A mod that improves ThaumCraft.

Vampirism: Vampires and hunters!

Witchery: A mod about witch-crafting

NEI Stuff

Not Enough Items: A gregorying mod that adds a menu to the left that shows recipes of items.

Bee Better At Bees: A mod that adds forestry bee breeding into to NEI

NEI integration: NEI addon to make other mods show up in NEI

NotEnoughEnergistics: GREG! Applied Energistics 2 with NEI support

TCNEIAdditions: An addon mod for Thaumic NEI plugin which is an addon for Thaumcraft NEI implementation. Also, Greg.

Optimization

AI improvements: Improves old laggy AI to be less laggy and just be old.

Already Decorating Fix: Solves a crash about multiple generation mods adding biomes.

ArchaicFix: An important optimization and QoL mod

Backport 5160: Fixes RailCraft entities being deleted

Careful Cast Corrector: Fixes a bug about some vanilla generation issues

Flying Cullers: Client side mod that changes render distance depending on frame rate. Also some extra optimizations!

FoamFix: Another performance mod that increases FPS. Look at their graph:

LazyDFU Agent: They recently removed the mod from curseforge. But it's used to make loading up faster.

Neodymium: Optimization mod for rendering with modern techniques.

Smooth Font: A mod that fixes minecrafts... weird choice of rendering texts.

Squidless: Fixes a bug about squids.

TileEntity Reset Fix: Fixes a bug about tile entities resetting after server restart.

Quality of Life

BetterPingDisplay: Used for displaying more accurate ping.

CraftingTweaks: This mod adds buttons to Crafting Tables (including modded ones) allowing you to quickly rotate, balance or clear the crafting grid.

CursorPosSaver: Saves your cursors last position.

GravestoneMod: Makes a grave when you die.

InventoryTweaks: Clientside mod allowing you to easily sort your inventory.

JourneyMap: Adds a map.

JourneyMapQoL: Adds few QoL commands for JourneyMap waypoints.

MouseTweaks: Many QoL features for using the mouse in your inventory.

ReAuth: Shows if your session is invalid and fixes having to restart if it is.

ThaumicTinkerer: Thaumic Tinkerer is a Greggified Thaumcraft addon, it's intention is to add new content to Thaumcraft, and bring back some oldies, but goodies.

Waila: Shows what block you are currently looking at.

WailaHarvestability: Shows if you can harvest a block, and what pickaxe level you need to harvest said block.

Storage

Applied Energistics 2

Applied Energistics 2: A virtual storage/tech mod that is updated by the Gregory team.

AE2 Fluid Craft: Applied Energistics 2 autocrafting with fluids. Thanks, Greggy for the updates :3

AE2 Stuff: Applied Energistics 2 mod that adds easier/faster way to craft stuff. Made by Greggy Teamy.

BetterP2P: A mod that adds easier way to bind P2P tunnels.

Botanic Energistics: Botania compatibility for Applied Energistics 2.

Thaumic Energistics: Thaumcraft+ Applied Energistics 2 compatibility mod... Updated by Greg tech new horizons team... I am out of jokes... shrug

Storage Drawers

Storage Drawers: A mod that adds drawers to storage one type of item as huge amounts.

Storage Drawer - Biomes O Plenty: Addon for storage drawers that add bop wood type drawers.

Storage Drawer - Misc: An addon that adds storage drawers of different woods from different mods.

Backpack: A backpack mod backported to 1.7 by GreggyTechy teamie :3

Technology Mods

BigReactors: Adds big reactors.

ExtraTiC: Add-on for Tinker's Construct adding compatibility and additional tools.

AdvancedGenerators: Adds different reactors for RF and EU power sources.

IC2WrenchPlugin: Allows you to use other wrenches on IC2 machines.

IguanaTweaksTConstruct: Adds levelling up to TConstruct tools.

IndustrialCraft2: Big tech mod adding different machines.

Mekanism: This is a tech mod adding different fluid transportation, tools, armor and some new ores (updated by Community).

MineFactoryReloaded: MFR aims to automate a number of tasks that previously would be difficult, boring, or work-intensive. It also provides some additional support blocks and machines.

Railcraft: Tech mod featuring a fully fleshed-out tech tree, with great effort going into balanced gameplay and many multi-block structures.

RedstoneArsenal: Adds many tools using the RF energy source.

RFTools: Mod containing tools using RedFlux or tech in general.

TConstruct: Tech mod adding many customizable tools and some multi-block structures.

ThermalDynamics: Adds many different ways to transport fluids, items, energy and even players.

ThermalExpansion: Adds many thermal related tech things.

ThermalFoundation: The foundation of a Thermally-enhanced world.

FAQ

• What's the mod pack difficulty?: Early game is nearly the same, just some QoL add-ons and making the player think differently. Mid game is slightly tweaked so extremely OP mods arent... Extremely OP? The end game is... I feel like it is not possible without Applied Energistics 2, but hey, there will be someone who finishes the pack crafting everything by hand and using wooden chests... Please don't try that :/

• There are only 30~ pages of NEI, how can I reach all the pages?: We hid all the items that seem repetitive, not craftable, buggy, or just unnecessary to view for beginner players. You can click the 3 dots at the right of the "Basic NEI" text and select "All NEI".

• What's the goal of the pack?: There's no exact goal YET. We are still working on the pack, for now, just grind your character. Play mods that you loved to play years and years ago... then try to get all the achievements and try to keep your mental health >:D... This FAQ turned into a what to NOT do list. Oh God.

• I have a suggestion for a mod, change, or idea that I want to tell you, where can I reach you?: Well there are multiple options, we have a discord server for talking about random stuff and telling each other cool stories, if you don't like discord you can always join our official Minecraft server. We have integration so everyone in discord can read messages there, you can reach me from there!

• What main differences of this pack have from me slapping all mods in a place and calling it a day?: Our team has been working on this pack for a month now, we added new recipes, tried to make it as stable as possible, committed changes to some actively developed bugs, changed some textures, configured mods to be compatible with each other and so much more! Gameplay side we worked hard to make the game as smooth, new version-like, and optimized as possible by configuring stuff as well as possible!

• I want to get more framerates than this mod pack offers, is that possible?: To get more FPS you need to install Fastcraft AND Optifine together Not possible after 1.0.4a, this is the best you can get, If thats still not enough theres a not tested way too, you can install LWJGL3fy on Prism Launcher! But be warned that its kinda confusing to set up and crashes.

• My game crashes when opening..? Be sure your game uses Java 8 if thats the case, if that doesnt fix your issue please join our discord and we would be glad to help you out :3

• Do you have an official server? yes we do, you can join it from main menu clicking official server button. To get latest news about it, join our discord!

1- We couldn't look up all of the GitHub since there's no tag for Minecraft 1.7.10 mods updated recently with proven stability. So we only used mods of devs that are known and trusted of making stable mods.

2- There might be missing mods with updates added. Please don't take this as a 100% reference :3
