About this project
What does Lootr add?
Lootr is also available for Minecraft: NeoForge/Forge & Fabric As comments can be missed, please file issues on GitHub (linked above 'Issues') or Discord (link below).
Lootr transforms the way you experience loot in Hytale! With this mod installed, every player gets their own, individual loot from chests that are spawned by structures during world generation! No more racing to loot structures or finding chests filled with someone else's trash.
- Personalised loot: Each player sees unique loot that's generated especially for them!
- Custom chests: Operators may use the
/lootr custom x y zcommand to convert a chest with items in it, into a "custom" loot chest that will copy these items for each player that opens it. - Player-specific visuals: Players who have not yet opened a loot chest will see golden sparkles spawning from them.
Please be aware: L ootr for Hytale is currently also in Early Access. If you find any bugs or have any issues, please open a ticket on our GitHub! Texture and model will change soon.
Most significantly, Lootr for Hytale is not retroactive. Chunks generated before Lootr was installed will not have their chests converted. This is due to a limitation with how Hytale's world generation works: loot is generated and added to chests as soon as they are placed in the world.
Uninstallation
Lootr adds new blocks which replace world-generated chests. Removing Lootr will prevent Hytale from knowing what to do with these blocks, causing them to render as black-and-purple blocks. As of version 0.0.7, if you are disatisfied with Lootr, you can change the "Disable_Conversion" configuration option to true.
This will prevent any chests generated in the future from being converted, while still allowing access to existing chests.
