Features

Parrying

  • Guard right before the attack hits you to parry the attack
  • A perfectly timed Guard Bash is a Charged Parry
  • Attacks marked as heavy can only be stopped by Charged Parries
  • Separate parry systems for PvE and PvP
  • NPCs that guard can parry players

On a Successful Parry

  • Special SFX and VFX
  • All incoming damage is nullified
  • A portion of the incoming damage is reflected back
  • Opens a counterattack window with bonus damage against the attacker
  • Special status effects for landing a chain of parries
  • Gain signature energy
  • Deal posture damage, with a chance to stagger the enemy

Posture System

  • Every NPC has a posture "bar"
  • Breaking one's posture stuns it, opening a critical strike window once 2 seconds have elapsed
  • A small red circle appears around a stunned target once the critical window is ready

  • Custom parry and stun animations
  • Combat labels on every special action: Parry, Stagger, Pierce, Stun, Critical
