About this project
What does Multitools add?

Multitools introduces a set of versatile tools for Hytale that combine the functionality of a pickaxe and a hatchet into a single tool.
With multitools, you can efficiently mine stone, ores, and wooden blocks without constantly switching between tools. This makes exploration, mining, and building faster and more convenient, especially during early and mid-game progression.

🔹Tool Tiers
The mod currently introduces 8 multitool variants, each matching existing material progression in Hytale:

- Crude Multitool
- Copper Multitool
- Iron Multitool
- Thorium Multitool
- Cobalt Multitool
- Adamantite Multitool
- Onyxium Multitool
- Mithril Multitool
🔹Balance
Multitools are more expensive to craft than standard tools, reflecting their versatility.

🔹Configuration
The mod includes an optional configuration file for advanced customization. All configurable features are disabled by default to ensure maximum compatibility.
If you choose to enable "EnableDurabilityOverride": true, you can individually set the durability for each tier of the multitool (see example values below). This allows you to fine-tune the tools to your preference.
⚠️Important Compatibility Warning: Enabling and modifying the config breaks compatibility with other mods that also modify tool stats or progression, most notably LevelTools. For a guaranteed stable and compatible experience, it is recommended to use the mod in its default state (with the config disabled).
Example of default config values:
{
"EnableDurabilityOverride": false,
"CrudeMultitoolMaxDurability": 150.0,
"CopperMultitoolMaxDurability": 200.0,
"IronMultitoolMaxDurability": 250.0,
"ThoriumMultitoolMaxDurability": 325.0,
"CobaltMultitoolMaxDurability": 325.0,
"AdamantiteMultitoolMaxDurability": 400.0,
"OnyxiumMultitoolMaxDurability": 450.0,
"MithrilMultitoolMaxDurability": 400.0
}
🔹Mod Compatibility
This mod is fully compatible with:
- Tree Harvester
- Ore Harvester
- Firetine Armoury
It is also likely compatible with mods using the Hybrid library
