About this project

What does Speed add?

Speed Plugin for Hytale

Take control of your movement! The Speed plugin allows players to dynamically adjust their movement speed multipliers on the fly. Whether you need to travel across the world quickly or precisely navigate complex structures, this plugin provides the tools you need.

Features

  • Dynamic Speed Scaling: Adjust your speed multiplier instantly with a simple command.
  • Comprehensive Physics Support: Modifies server-side physics for consistent movement behavior.
  • Client Synchronization: Automatically syncs movement settings (walking, running, sprinting, and flying) with the client for a smooth, lag-free experience.
  • Flight Enhancement: Includes scaling for horizontal and vertical flight speeds, as well as air acceleration, making creative flight feel incredibly responsive.
  • Permission-Based: Control who can use the command with integrated Hytale permissions.

Commands

/speed <multiplier>

Sets your overall movement speed multiplier.

  • Usage: /speed 1.5 (Makes you 50% faster)

/flyspeed <multiplier>

Sets your flying speed multiplier independently. In Hytale, base flight speed is naturally slower than ground movement; this command allows you to overcome that limitation without affecting your walking speed.

  • Usage: /flyspeed 3.0 (Triples your flight speed)

/resetspeed

Resets your movement speed back to normal (1.0).

/resetflyspeed

Resets your flight speed back to normal (1.0).

Note: In Hytale, base flight speed is naturally slower than ground movement. Use /flyspeed to adjust it independently.

Permissions

  • admin.speed: Required to use both the /speed and /flyspeed commands.
