About this project

What does Murasama add?

This mod is my first proper project for Hytale. I don't have a lot of experience with modding in general, but I've figured out a lot of things while making this.

Major update (1.0.0)

I've added crafting. Now Murasama is available in survival too. It's very expensive due to the blade's power, but it's available.

Recipe

Murasama needs a new resource to be crafted - HF Alloy Steel Ingots

Moveset

Attacks change depending on your movement inputs (mace behaviour)

Standing still

3-part combo, containing left and right swings and a stab

These attacks deal low damage but regenerate stamina

Forwards (W)

  1. 2-part combo, containing left and right swings

They're the same as the ones you can use when standing still

  1. Chargeable lunge

When charged for 0.75 seconds, lunge forward, dealing moderate damage and consuming 3 stamina

When charged for 1.5 seconds, jump into the air and then lunge forward, dealing high damage and consuming 5 stamina. Immune to fall damage

If you're out of stamina, perform a regular stab instead

Sideways (A/D)

Directional (again, depending on your movement) chargeable swings

These attacks deal moderate damage and have more reach than regular swings

When charged for 0.75 seconds, increase reach, deal high damage, and consume 1.5 stamina

If you're out of stamina, perform an uncharged directional swing instead

Backwards (S)

Vertical chargeable swings

These attacks deal moderate damage and have more reach than regular swings

When charged for 0.75 seconds, jump forward and hit enemies upon reaching the ground, dealing high damage and consuming 3 stamina. Immune to fall damage

When charged for 1.5 seconds, jump into the air, then dash forward and down, hitting enemies upon reaching the ground, dealing extreme damage, and consuming 5 stamina. Immune to fall damage

If you're out of stamina, perform an uncharged vertical swing instead

Signature - Blade Mode (Q)

Slows down time for enemies in a radius, allowing you to easily deal a lot of damage without being threatened

I didn't find a way to stop enemies from attacking, or to increase your attack speed. There are effects that are supposed to do this but when I tried to apply them they didn't work. Maybe they're not fully implemented into the game yet

Videos are from an older version. I'm planning to update them.
