About this project

What does LootPlus add?

LootPlus (v0.4.1)

LootPlus makes world loot chests fair, performant, and exciting for every player.

No more "someone looted it first" frustration. Chest progress is personal, so exploration stays rewarding on active servers.

Why Players Like It

  • Personal world-chest progress per player.
  • Sparkle hints for nearby unopened loot.
  • /lping visual trail to a nearby unopened chest.
  • Server-friendly chest handling designed for busy worlds.

What’s New in v0.4.1

  • Patch release focused on correctness and stability after the initial 0.4.0 rollout.
  • Fixed admin save behavior so the UI no longer reports success when config.json fails to write.
  • Fixed a concurrency issue in chest lock handling that could allow overlapping opens on the same loot key.
  • Fixed file persistence so failed writes/deletes no longer leave in-memory progress out of sync with disk.
  • Fixed custom tier normalization so EPIC resolves to the intended tier instead of being treated as T4.
  • Added a local deploy-test-mod.ps1 script to clean-build and deploy the jar to the test Hytale mods folder.

Commands

  • /lping (alias: /lpc)
Ping a nearby unopened world-generated loot chest with a visual trail.
  • /lpadmin
Open the LootPlus admin page for live tuning.

Server Notes

  • LootPlus targets world-generated chests and keeps progression player-specific.
  • Respawn, sparkle, and loot behavior are configurable for different server styles.
  • Tiered loot + dynamic tiering can be tuned to match your progression curve.
