What does HyCensor add?

HyCensor

HyCensor is a chat filter plugin for Hytale servers that want clean chat without constant staff babysitting.

It automatically blocks insults, spam, ads, CAPS abuse, flood messages, and common bypass tricks like leet-speak or spaced letters. Players cannot easily get around it, and normal words do not trigger false punishments.

Server owners get:

  • Less spam and toxicity

  • Fewer moderators needed

  • Automatic warnings, mutes, and bans

  • Multi-language support with full UTF-8

  • Protection against ads and chat injection attempts

Everything is configurable in one UTF-8 config.json, and the system scales punishments instead of instantly banning players.

If you have a plugin that overrides or rewrites the chat, filtering may not work correctly
(these are usually prefix plugins; it has been tested with LuckPerms and works well).
