About this project

What does Linear Progression Overhaul add?

What is LPO?

The Linear Progression Overhaul (LPO) changes the progression path through the game to make every metal tier more meaningful and to encourage the exploration of every biome / zone.

Changes

  • Workbench now has 6 tiers, one for each zone. (Each with unique models!)
  • Armor's Workbench and Blacksmith's Anvil merged into one 5-tier bench, the Smithy.
  • Workbench and Smithy are upgraded using items and materials found in each zone.
  • Tools, weapons, and armor, are locked behind the tier of their zone—to craft Cobalt gear, you must explore and find the resources to unlock the Cobalt-tier Workbench and Smithy.

Goals

  • Every zone is required to progress.
  • Diversify upgrade requirements so that more aspects of the game are used.
    • For example, antidotes are required in the crafting of the Thorium-tier Smithy as the Thorium set provides poison resistance.

Roadmap

  • New animations for the new benches and tiers. [COMPLETE]
  • Unique models for each tier of Smithy. [COMPLETE]
  • NOTE: Animations temporarily disabled until Hypixel fix an upgrade tier animation bug.
