About this project

What does Bring the Boom add?

This pack adds a plethora of new Adventure Mode friendly fantasy guns and utility items all revolving around the use and manufacture of Boom Powder. Everything contained within is setting-friendly, with an art style that matches the rest of the game and clear progression paths from one material to the next. Numbers should be fairly balanced. All artwork, textures, and models are hand-made by myself.

The first thing you will need is the Grenadier Workbench- Which can be produced from a Crafting Bench.

From there, everything should be open to you!

This is a constantly improving work, and so far, there are 5 weapon categories and several utilities available, with many more on the way!

So far:

DOUBLE DRAGOON

A close-range weapon that fires a spray of pellets. Can fire one or both barrels. Considered clumsy and brutal by some grenadiers, but simplicity is often genius. Reloading both barrels at once grants a speed boost. Special launches you backwards and up.

STURMCRANK

A mid-range weapon that sacrifices mobility for a stream of raw damage. A shoulder charge provides a strong knockback. The weapon of choice for grenadiers with the strength to control this beast of a weapon, with a well-earned reputation for battlefield dominance; Its cumbersome nature is only matched by its complexity, proving more refined than one might assume at a glance. Special grants a burst of speed and fire rate.

HUNTERLOCK

A long-range weapon with high accuracy and damage, but suffers close-up and has expensive ammunition. Considered a refined weapon for grenadiers that value skill and precision over brute force. Thus, the weapon is kept simple and light. Special launches a shot that ricochets, dealing damage in a wide area with each bounce.

BOOMTUBE

An explosive weapon that fires slow-moving rockets with high damage and a large blast radius, with a four round magazine and long reload. For grenadiers both crazy and unsubtle, the Boomtube provides maximum chaos for the price. Catching yourself in the blast will launch you upwards.

SIDEWINDERS

A magitech-assisted paired weapon that fires metal spikes extremely rapidly. These weapons have an internal ammo system, and cannot be reloaded; The weapons are instead thrown away and regenerated when spent, using a crystal matrix that reloads the internals and teleports the weapons to your hands. Favored by grenadiers for whom mobility is vital, and know that strength punishes, but speed kills. While firing, the user moves faster.

UTILITIES

Flares and a flare pistole. Flares can be thrown or launched with the pistole. Flares will stick to surfaces and provide a strong light source for five minutes, and special care was put toward underwater use as well.

Spider mines, which will follow you until they detect an enemy; When they do, they will leap toward them and explode.

BOOM POWDER PROCUREMENT

As this mod requires a lot of Boom Powder, there are two additional ways to get it now:

-The Boomshroom crop, seeds for which can be produced at the farming station and requires a level 3 bench. Make sure to plant them underground or in an enclosed greenhouse- They do not grow in sunlight.

-A raw recipe, which requires Lime rock, Volcanic rock, charcoal, and poop, in the Utilities section of the Grenadier bench

IN THE FUTURE

-Clock Magnum- A one-handed revolver that can be used with a shield.

-Pile Bunker: A melee weapon that can spend ammunition for powerful pilebunker strikes that have explosive force.

-Mining Charge: A large, placed bomb with a long fuse that deals especially high damage to the environment- Perfect for mining, or sapping.

-Grenadier Armors: Dedicated armors with passives for using explosives and firearms, offering less protection than heavier armors, and providing damage buffs instead (Currently impossible; Ranged weapons cannot benefit from armor passives. I expect this to be fixed.)
