About this project

What does Bones' Rapiers add?

I made a rapier mod.
Full material progression from Crude to Prisma, including Bone and Doomed, which drop from new duelist NPCs.
Onyxium and Prisma are craftable with and balanced around Endgame & QOL, but everything should work fine without it.
They're similar to the basic swords, except the moveset is mainly thrusts.
I find them pretty fun.

Moveset:

  • Primary: Directional
    Forward/Neutral: Basic thrusts
    Left/Right: Thrust-Swipe combo
    Backward: Basic Swipes
  • Charged Primary: Lunge. Launch forward and stab your target, dealing heavy damage
  • Charged Backwards Primary: Disengage. Swing the rapier in front of you, dealing light damage and hopping backwards
  • Signature: Flurry. Five rapid stabs followed by a lunge
  • Counterattack: Riposte. A feature available with DanBagh's Stunning Combat mod that lets you instantly lunge at enemies when you time your block right. (Also good for fighting ranged enemies)

In future...

I want to add rapiers for other item sets that exist like bone or outlander. I could add them to chest loot in the right places, but I feel like they'd work better with mobs to wield them and drop when defeated.

I'll work on these as I develop my abilities as a modder.

Support

If you really enjoy my mod and wanna help me be not broke, I have a patreon. It is 1 USD/Month, and I occasionally post sneak peeks of stuff I work on
