About this project

What does ECC's Yamato Weapon (DMC) add?

The infamous Yamato that Vergil wields from Devil May Cry, now brought to Hytale! Devil May Cry 5 is being referenced for the attacks for this weapon.

You can craft and upgrade your Yamato through the Blacksmith's Anvil, unlocking more attacks, and doing more damage the better tier your Yamato.

This weapon is intended to be third person only.

Features the following attacks:

Combo A. Left click 4 times in a row.

Combo C. Pause on 3rd attack, then left click.

Aerial Rave B. Currently only works when flying.

Judgement Cut. Hold left click.

Rapid Slash. Hold left click longer than Judgement Cut.

Upper Slash. Go backwards and hold left click for grounded upper slash. Hold left click longer for rising upper slash.

Void Slash. Requires half signature charge. E to activate.

Judgement Cut End. Requires full signature charge. Q to activate.

Dashing. Right Click.

There's also custom animations for all kinds of movement!

What else is planned for the Yamato?

Custom animations for walking, running, jumping, etc.

Balancing the Yamato to be somewhat lore-friendly in Hytale adventure mode.

Creating different tiers of the Yamato, starting off weak with limited attacks, all the way to the true form of the Yamato, with all attacks unlocked. These tiers will be crafted through the weapon workbench.

Improved visuals and animations. Especially for Combo A, since those are the first set of animations I worked on.

Known Issues:
After doing Combo C, there is a possibility of two sheath animations played in a row.

Dash invulnerability can potentially last too long

The Yamato Replica sometimes repeats the first attack twice in a row
