Work in progress: more buildings, villagers, and features are planned beyond what you see today. The mods roadmap can be viewed here: Road Map

Found a place you want to call home? Aetherhaven is a town-building add-on built around laying out plots, growing a settlement with named locals, and following quests that push your town forward. Talk with villagers, earn their trust over time, and pick up extra gear and utilities along the way, from cracked-open rewards to field helpers that keep your builds feeling alive.

This project is a submission for the New Worlds Modding contest.

What you will be doing

  • Build a town by planning plots and putting structures where they belong.
  • Meet a cast of villagers with their own roles, schedules, and story beats.
  • Take on quests that tie your progress to the town instead of a generic checklist.
  • Invest in relationships so how people feel about you matters.
  • Discover side items and systems that support the loop without replacing it.

Quick start

  1. At a workbench, craft the Town Planning Desk (look for it with your other bench recipes).
  2. Place the Town Planning Desk in the world and use it like a crafting station. It opens the town planning recipes.
  3. From that desk, craft a Town Charter.
  4. Place the charter where you want your settlement to begin, then follow the prompts and your first visitors to get moving.

AI use disclosure

Parts of this mod were developed with AI-assisted autocomplete and partial code generation in the programming workflow. Game design, integration, testing, and tuning were still done by the author; the tools sped up typing and boilerplate, not the whole project.
