QuestLines Claims
The Complete Land Management Solution for Hytale
Protect land, create regions, rent plots, sell properties, manage permissions, and visualize boundaries — all from a single plugin.
QuestLines Claims combines the functionality of traditional claims plugins, region protection systems, and plot management tools into one unified, database-backed solution.
No plugin stacks. No conflicting permissions. No duplicated configuration.
One plugin. One UI. One permission system.
Why QuestLines Claims?
Most servers end up combining multiple plugins to achieve basic land management: one for player claims, another for admin regions, a third for rentable plots, and separate tools for permissions and protection.
QuestLines Claims replaces all of them — SimpleClaims, WiFlowsClaims, OrbisGuard, Hyxins and assorted rent/buy plot plugins — with a single integrated system using shared permissions, shared storage and shared tooling.
Core Systems
Player Claims
Allow players to protect and manage their own land:
- Chunk-based claiming
- Multiple claims per player
- Claim member management
- Custom claim names and colors
- Distance buffers between claims
- Automatic inactivity decay, with per-claim decay protection for builds worth keeping
- LuckPerms-based claim limits
- Map-based claiming interface
Claims are contiguous by design, preventing fragmented land ownership and reducing abuse.
Claim Homes
Players can set teleport points inside land they own with /claim sethome, then travel with /claim home and manage them from a card list (/claim homes, /claim delhome). Each home remembers the block it was set on and shows it as an icon, so a list of homes reads at a glance. Limits are configurable and stack through LuckPerms nodes.
Admin Regions
Create protected areas anywhere in the world — spawn zones, markets, arenas, event areas, dungeons, server infrastructure:
- Rectangle and polygon regions
- Region priorities and inheritance
- Enter and exit actions
- Command restrictions
- Custom notifications
- Region-specific spawn points
- Full flag management
Rent & Buy Plots
Turn regions into rentable or purchasable properties — player shops, housing districts, market stalls, apartment systems:
- Rentable and purchasable plots
- Lease renewals and auto-renew
- Grace periods and automatic resets
- Member management
- Economy integration and rental limits
Auto-Resetting Mines
Build mining areas that regenerate on a timer, once mined out, or both — created and edited from a visual in-game editor.
- Weighted block palette chosen from a searchable icon grid
- Separate surface layer and optional fill mode
- Fixed snapshot, or a structure overlay re-stamped on every reset
- Countdown warnings and teleport-to-safety for players still inside
- Rendered on the world map, with async block placement so resets don't stall the server
LuckPerms Integration
Claims publishes its own LuckPerms contexts, which is a bigger deal than it sounds: a permission node can be granted only inside a named region, only in wilderness, or only to a claim's owner or trusted members.
Because Hytale resolves permission checks through LuckPerms' live permission set, this makes every plugin's permission checks position-aware — not just Claims'. Let players fly only in their own claim, restrict a command to the market district, or grant a build permission that stops at the claim border, without either plugin knowing the other exists.
LuckPerms also drives claim limits, rental limits and permission groups.
Animated Particle Borders (Pro)
Know exactly where claims begin and end without opening a map. Particle Borders render animated boundary effects around nearby claims and regions, visible only to players who enable them.
- Personal toggle per player, so there is zero visual spam for everyone else
- Real-time, ground-following borders
- 49 unlockable cosmetic effects
Styles range from subtle effects such as fireflies and torchlight to premium visuals including Arcane Runes, Molten Lava, Golden Trails, Aurora Curtains and animated Portal Borders. They can be distributed through permission nodes, ranks, crates, seasonal rewards, event rewards or battle passes.
Particle Borders are unlocked through a QuestLines Claims Pro license. All other plugin functionality remains fully available without a license.
Region Inheritance
Regions can inherit members, groups, flags, exclusion rules and default permissions. Child regions override only what needs to change — create city-wide rules once and let districts, plots and buildings inherit automatically.
Polygon Regions
Not every protected area is a rectangle. Polygon regions allow precise protection of arenas, roads, rivers, cities and custom-shaped builds, using true point-in-polygon calculations.
Permission Groups
Create reusable presets — Trusted, Moderator, Builder, VIP — assign players once, and manage permissions across every region automatically. Groups can also be linked directly to LuckPerms permissions.
Protection System
QuestLines Claims protects virtually every major gameplay interaction:
- Building — block placement, block breaking, hammer use, harvesting, crafting
- Interaction — containers, doors, entity interaction, item pickup and dropping, sitting, mob capture
- Combat — PvP, PvE, friendly fire, keep inventory
- Movement — entry, exit, portals, flying, fall damage
- World — explosions, mob spawning, fire spread, durability loss prevention
Every permission can be configured per region, claim, group, member, or wilderness. Owner-only flags such as fly can be granted to a claim's owner without handing them to every member.
Staff Permissions
Admin capability is split into granular nodes, so staff can be given read-only claim access — listing, teleporting, inspecting chunks — without build-bypass or edit rights.
World Map Integration
Claims integrates directly with the Hytale map system: claim and region overlays, buffer-zone visualization, custom entry titles, boundary notifications, visibility controls, and Particle Borders (Pro). It coexists with other map plugins by painting on top of them rather than replacing them.
Migration Support
Switching from another claims plugin? Import existing data with a single command:
- SimpleClaims (SQLite)
- WiFlowsClaims (JSON)
/claim import <simpleclaims|wiflowsclaims>
Storage
All data lives in a centralized database — SQLite, MySQL or MariaDB. No fragmented configuration files, no data spread across multiple plugins.
Localization
Claims speaks the player's own language, with a configurable server default via default_locale.
Developer API
A full API exposes claims, regions, members, flags, inheritance chains and parent/child relationships — for custom gameplay systems and plugin integrations.
Optional Integrations
- VaultUnlocked — economy support for rent and buy plots
- LuckPerms — claim limits, rental limits, permission groups, and position-aware permission contexts
- QuestLines Core — advanced actions on region enter and exit
The QuestLines Suite
Every plugin works standalone; together they share one ecosystem.
- QuestLines Core — dialogue, quests, requirements, actions
- Icons — floating quest-state icons above NPCs
- Dialog — in-game linear dialogue builder
- Titles — player title and rank rewards
- GUI — custom in-game interfaces, no code required
- Claims — land protection, regions, rent and buy plots (this plugin)
- Denizens — native NPC manager
- Arcade — arcade, board and puzzle games
- Hooks — early plugin unlocking extra quest tracking
- MMO — parties, guilds, dungeons, duels and item sets
- Mimics — chests that stand up and fight
- Nations — cities and nations built on Claims (via Discord)
