About this project

What does Another World's Problems add?

This mod was created for the New Worlds Hytale mod competition in April 2026.

Another World's Problem throws the player into a new world (without their permission) and gets tasked to help the village they appear in.

This mod is not intended to be played in Multiplayer or with other mods.

Upon generating a normal world, the player will automatically be moved to the new custom world instance and begin the short adventure that is within it. There is no portal fragment for this custom world.

To get started, talk to the nearby Feran NPC that is shown in the intro cutscene and then gather equipment from the village you spawn into.

This mod contains a rudimentary custom cutscene system and questing system made from the ground up for this mod.

Potential Issues

If you spawn away from the portal, make sure to trigger the intro cutscene by walking into it to spawn the quest NPC.

The boss spawn cutscene trigger may be covered in stone due to it not properly replacing blocks. You should be able to break the blocks around it to walk through.
