About this project

What does BuffLedger add?

BuffLedger adds a small text HUD that lists active timed effects with readable names and countdowns.

Why it is worth using

Eat food, drink potions, or pick up debuffs the overlay appears automatically when something timed is active and hides when nothing is left, just glance at the timer.

How it works

  1. Join a world tracking starts automatically (/buffs off to opt out; saved across sessions).
  2. Gain a timed effect (food, potion, poison, etc.).
  3. HUD shows up bottom-left above the hotbar with effect names and remaining time.
  4. When the last timed effect ends, the HUD disappears.

Commands

Command Description
/buffs on Re-enable tracking after /buffs off
/buffs off Stop tracking and hide the HUD
/buffs status Tracking on/off, HUD visible, effect count
/buffs list Print active effects in chat

Optional mod compatibility

BuffLedger reads the vanilla effect controller. Other mods are optional.

Mod Notes
MultipleHUD Recommended if you run several HUD mods (LeanCore, TaleStatistics, etc.)
Not Enough Potions Labels for NEP potions and morphs. Morph transitions can freeze HUD timers briefly
BuffStacks Compatible; stack count when the same effect ID appears in multiple slots
MoreFood / SNIP3 FoodPack Food buff labels; no extra setup

Known issues (0.1.0)

  2. Place the JAR in mods/ (global UserData/Mods or per-save mods/)
  3. Join the world. Use /buffs status to confirm tracking is on
