HyLens is a lightweight and customizable information HUD for Hytale that helps you identify blocks, creatures, crops, and resources simply by looking at them.

Inspired by the convenience of information overlays, HyLens provides useful details directly on your screen without interrupting your gameplay.

🔍 Block Identification

• Instantly identify blocks by pointing your crosshair at them.
• Display block names and item icons.
• Enjoy a compact HUD that automatically adapts to the available information.

⛏️ Smart Tool Recommendations

• See which tool is recommended for breaking a block.
• Green: Your equipped tool meets the requirements.
• Red: Your equipped tool does not meet the requirements.
• Gray: Recommended tool when your hand is empty or compatibility cannot be confirmed.
• Supports tool categories such as pickaxes, axes, and shovels.

🌱 Crop Growth Information

• Identify crops at different growth stages.
• View growth progress, such as Growing 1/3, when stage data is available.
• Know when crops are ready to harvest.
• Display the crop's product icon instead of its seed icon when available.

🐺 Creature Identification

• Identify creatures and NPCs by looking at them.
• Display creature names and dedicated portraits for supported species.
• Use a generic creature icon when a specific portrait is unavailable.

🌳 Resources and Wood Types

• Identify wood categories such as Goldenwood and Drywood.
• Display resource information when the game provides reliable collection data.
• Hide unavailable information automatically to keep the HUD clean.

⚙️ Customizable HUD

Personalize your experience using the in-game settings menu:

• 4 screen positions: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right.
• 3 HUD sizes: small, normal, and large.
• Enable or disable icons, tool recommendations, crop information, and creature identification.
• Save individual preferences automatically.

Open the settings menu with:

/hylens menu

You can also type /hylens to access the available commands.

🎮 How to Use

1. Install HyLens in your Hytale mods folder.
2. Enable the mod in your world.
3. Point your crosshair at a block, creature, or crop.
4. HyLens automatically displays the available information!

No complicated setup is required.
