About this project
What does Nearby Quick Stack add?
Nearby Quick Stack
Put items into nearby chests that already contain the same item. Open the deposit menu with /qs, then choose individual stacks or deposit your inventory at once.
Two ways to deposit
- Select items enters selection mode. Click a slot to move that whole stack, then keep clicking to deposit more. Hotbar slots can be selected manually.
- Deposit all handles the main inventory and backpack. It skips your hotbar and equipped items.
Only matching chests receive items. Empty chests and chests containing only unrelated items are left alone. Existing matching stacks can be topped up, and empty slots in a matching chest can be used. Leftovers stay in their original inventory slots when there is no room.
The default search radius is 14 blocks, measured as a sphere around the player. The plugin searches loaded containers from nearest to farthest and does not load new chunks. Processing benches are excluded. Native inventory moves preserve item durability and metadata.
Commands
/qsor/quickstackopens the menu./qs alldeposits inventory and backpack items without opening the menu./qs radius 20changes the radius to 20 blocks. The supported range is 1–64.
Settings persist across restarts. The default container limit is 100, configurable up to 200 in the plugin's settings.json.
Permissions and language
Normal use requires localqol.quickstack.use, registered to the built-in Adventurer and WorldEditor groups. Changing the radius requires OP or localqol.quickstack.admin.
The menu, command help, and messages follow each player's game language. English is the fallback, with Simplified Chinese included.
Installation and compatibility
Requires Hytale 0.7.5 and Java 25. Install the JAR, enable it, and restart. No additional plugin is required. Workbench Range is optional and uses separate settings.
The deposit screen is an independent custom page opened by a command. It does not insert buttons into Hytale's native inventory screen.
Alpha release
This release compiles against the actual Hytale 0.7.5 server and includes automated inventory-transfer tests. In-game UI rendering, real-world persistence, and multiplayer behavior still need verification.
Container access dispatches UseBlockEvent.Pre and respects cancellation. Protection plugins using other mechanisms need separate compatibility testing. Verify your protection plugin before enabling this on a shared server.
