About this project

What does Wizard Villagers! add?

This is an unofficial fork and 1.21.1 port of MrSterner's GuardVillagers. Find the original Fabric port here and the original Forge version here.


Fixes & New Features

  • Guards can now shoot normally using the crossbow (no more glitching out and not firing)
  • Guards can now use the bow goal from MrSterner's code
  • Spell Engine, Wizards, Spellblades and Such compat!
    • Guards can use Wands & Spellblades
    • Basic Wands allow guards to use basic spells (e.g., Fireball)
    • Netherite Wands allow guards to use enhanced spells (e.g., Meteor)
    • No friendly fire for spells!
    • Fire, Frost, and Arcane Wands & Staffs are considered basic, while their Netherite and Tier 4 versions are advanced

Spells (NEW)

  • Guards depending on the weapon they spawn with will get a scroll based on their weapon's school (melee = melee spell, fire = fire spells)

Netherite wand / staff, Ruby Fire, Smaragdant Frost, Crystal Arcane staff for Advanced

  • Basic: Fireball, Frost Shard, Arcane Bolt

Spellblades and Such

  • Base 5% to trigger and scales up with Ranged Damage up to 15%

Paladins & Priests || LnE Paladins (OPTIONAL)

  • New guards will have a chance to get holy skills like holy prevention (LnE), circle of healing, barrier

By default, the config sets the base drop-chance of equipment to 0.
