ComPOTability

A compatibility mod that brings flower pot mods together and adds some cool stuff! This mod acts as a bridge between different flower pot mods and adds colored variants to make your builds look better.

What This Mod Does

ComPOTability is basically a compatibility layer that makes sure different flower pot mods work together without conflicts. It also adds some nice features like colored hanging pots and dyed flower pots.

Dynamic Mod Loading

This mod is smart about what it loads - it only activates features when the required mods are actually installed. Here's how it works:

Arts & Crafts + NotEnoughPots Integration

• Only works when BOTH Arts & Crafts AND NotEnoughPots are installed
• Adds dyed flower pots for all vanilla crops (potatoes, carrots, wheat, etc.)
• Creates colored variants of potted plants in all 16 dye colors
• Includes proper loot tables so you get the dyed pot + plant when you break them
• Arts & Crafts pots now work with most plants from other mods as well! If there is anything that doesn't work let me know in a comment!

Beautify Integration

• Only works when Beautify is installed
• Adds colored hanging pots in all 16 dye colors
• These work exactly like Beautify's original hanging pots
• You can place flowers in them, grow them with bone meal, harvest with shears
• Crafting recipes to convert existing hanging pots to colored versions

Gilded Sherds Integration

• Only works when BOTH Arts & Crafts AND Gilded Sherds are installed
• Creates gilded versions of Arts & Crafts pottery sherds
• Includes recycling recipes to blast gilded sherds back into gold nuggets
• Uses the Bookshelf API for proper integration

Crafting Recipes

Hanging Pot Dyeing

• Take any hanging pot + dye = colored hanging pot
• Works with all 16 dye colors
• Only available when Beautify is installed

Hanging Pot Recoloring

• Change the color of existing hanging pots
• Useful for when you want to change your build's color scheme

Gilded Sherd Recycling

• Blast gilded Arts & Crafts sherds to get gold nuggets back
• Only available when both Arts & Crafts and Gilded Sherds are installed

Why This Mod Exists

Flower pot mods are awesome but they don't always play nice together. This mod fixes that by:

1. Making sure mods don't conflict with each other
2. Adding colored variants to existing mods
3. Only loading features when the required mods are actually installed
4. Providing proper integration between different mod systems

Technical Stuff

• Uses dynamic mod detection to only load features when needed
• Implements proper loot tables for all dyed blocks
• Includes color providers for stem crops and tinted plants
• Uses reflection to safely access other mods' systems
• Graceful fallbacks when mods aren't installed

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API
2. Install any of the optional mods you want to use
3. Install this mod
4. The mod will automatically detect which other mods are installed and enable the appropriate features

Support

If you have issues, make sure:

• You have the required dependencies installed
• The mods you want to use are actually installed
• You're using compatible versions of all mods

The mod will log which features are enabled when it starts up, so check the logs if something isn't working as expected.
