About this project

What does Shirium add?

Shirium

Shirium is an optimization mod for Minecraft Forge designed to make the game run smoother without changing how it looks or plays.

The mod improves several parts of the rendering, mainly everything related to chunks and the way Minecraft prepares and sends that information to the GPU. In practice, this can mean more FPS, fewer stutters, and more stable frame times, especially while exploring or when the game is loading and rebuilding terrain.

What does it improve?

Shirium aims to improve both the average performance and the stability of the game. It doesn’t just focus on raising the FPS count, but also on reducing those little spikes that make Minecraft feel less smooth.

You can tell that the mod is installed thanks to the new settings interface

Among the improvements you might notice are:

  • More FPS in situations limited by chunk rendering.

  • Better 1% lows and 0.1% lows.

  • Fewer frametime spikes and micro-stutters.

  • More efficient chunk loading and rebuilding.

  • Less unnecessary CPU work.

  • More efficient use of memory and communication with the GPU.

Compatibility

Shirium is designed to work well with most Forge content mods, but there may be mods that don't work correctly with it and there may be bugs

Extra

The mod has completely changed the architecture and will also move to a new stage, and it is recommended to install the mod from version 1.0.1 for all the new improvements and implementations

The mod is in development and future updates will come, improving compatibility, performance, and many other things.
