Which Engineers' Materials release should I use?
Engineers' Materials EngineersMaterials-1.20.1-1.0.2.jar targets 1.20.1 with Forge, NeoForge. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the client. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the dedicated server. All 3 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Engineers' Materials required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether it belongs on the client. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the dedicated server.

What else does Engineers' Materials EngineersMaterials-1.20.1-1.0.2.jar need?
EngineersMaterials-1.20.1-1.0.2.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Tinkers Construct, Create, Mantle first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 2 come through another mod in the chain.
2 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Engineers' Materials add?
Main
Engineers' Materials brings a hand-picked set of Create-themed materials and engineer modifiers into Tinkers' Construct.
Materials
Six exclusive materials, usable in TiC tools and armor:
| Material | Trait | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Brass | Precise | 600 durability / 6.0 attack, repair-friendly |
| Zinc | Rustless | Converts Andesite into Andesite Alloy when mining |
| Chocolate | Nourishing | Edible — eat your tool to restore hunger |
| Cardboard | Weak | No damage, but lightning fast |
| Andesite Alloy | Tenacious | Well-rounded stat boosts |
| Rose Quartz | Rose Blade | Diamond-tier mining, doubled ranged damage |
Modifiers
Five engineer modifiers that replicate Create's engineer equipment:
- Wrench — use your tool to configure Create's kinetic contraptions, just like a Create wrench
- Extendo — grants +3 block & entity reach on a chestplate (at a cost of −50% attack speed)
- AutoCrush — mined drops are crushed automatically, as if fed to Crushing Wheels (−25% mining & use speed)
- Diving Weights — boots gain Create's diving-boot effects: dive faster, walk & jump underwater, ignore Mechanical Belts
- Goggles — helmet gains the full function of Create goggles
Gameplay features
- Ore melting — all crushed ores melt through TiC
ore_meltingrecipes; output scales with the machine (Melter/Smeltery ~1.33 ingots per ore, Foundry 1 ingot per ore) - Complete cobalt processing line — a new Crushed Cobalt Ore enables crushing → washing → melting into Molten Cobalt with a bonus Molten Diamond byproduct
- Slime balls — mix dough and dyes into all kinds of TiC Slime Balls
Aside
This mod was split from Tinkers' Gears, keeping only its most cohesive content — check the gallery for a preview.
Why? Tinkers' Gears tried to do too much at once. I'm breaking it into focused modules, such as this one and Tinkers' Ponder, so each can be developed and polished more thoroughly.
