About this project

What does Echo Archive add?

Echo Archive adds a small archive system to Minecraft with Memory Disks, a Memory Reader block, custom audio playback, and terminal-style transcripts.

Insert a Memory Disk into the reader, press play, and listen to recovered recordings while the GUI displays waveform-style feedback and transcript text. Disks can use different floppy textures and can be linked to specific memory logs.

The mod is built with creators and modpack makers in mind. Custom logs can be added through datapack JSON, while custom .ogg audio is supplied through a resource pack. This makes it possible to create your own archive entries, story logs, warnings, music fragments, or lore recordings without editing the mod jar.

Echo Archive is currently early/alpha and still growing. More polish, commands, validation tools, and improved playback behavior are planned.
