About this project
What does Z-cul - Frame Generation (MCFG) add?
Introduction
Z-cul is an optimization mod in terms of rendering. Utilizing Hierarchical Z-Buffer Occlusion Culling technology, this mod can additionally cull some invisible chunks beyond the vanilla game, reducing a portion of the overhead in chunk compilation and rendering. When used in conjunction with Sodium (Embeddium), better optimization results can be achieved. It is compatible with Iris, Oculus, Nvidium, and OptiFine.
This fork implements Frame generation via compute shader in Minecraft (1.2.0 version of the mod).
Frame generation creates intermediate frames between real ones to boost perceived framerate, using motion vectors to understand how objects move; it predicts where each pixel should be in the in‑between moment and synthesizes a new frame, making animation smoother and reducing stutter during fast motion.

THE FRAME GENERATION TECNOLOGY IS STILL UNDER WORK!!!
The fps shown by f3 are not the ones perceived since the ones generated by the mod are not read
Compatibility
Due to the use of GPU instantiation to assist computation, entity culling functionality cannot run on graphics card devices that do not support OpenGL 3.3. If your device can run the Sodium, it can also support instantiation entity culling functionality. This mod utilizes a portion of GPU computation to alleviate CPU culling and chunk compilation overhead. If your GPU doesn't have additional computational power to render culling textures, it may slightly reduce the maximum frame rate in open vistas, typically below 5%.
