HyperDamageLibrary (HDL)
HyperDamageLibrary is a utility mod and developer library designed to expand combat mechanics in Minecraft. It introduces customizable damage systems, maximum HP erosion, and highly consistent defense states designed to interact predictably even in heavily modded environments.
Key Features
Erosion and Decay Mechanics When an entity takes erosion damage, its maximum health limit is reduced (decayed). This penalty caps the target's maximum allowed HP, meaning standard healing cannot bypass it. The accumulated decay can be slowly cleansed and restored by receiving standard healing effects (such as health potions or natural regeneration) or eating food.
Absolute Bypass and ASM Protection Using a custom ASM bytecode transformer at startup, this library manages combat modifications at a low level. It aims to ensure that absolute damage types successfully apply even through standard invincibility layers, while protecting "Super Invincible" entities from forced deletion (like /kill), void falling, or rival instant-death commands.
Super Invincible Mode (Three-Stage Toggle) Offers robust invincibility configurations. Players can toggle between:
- Disabled (Normal State)
- Locked at Max HP (Invincible with full health)
- Locked at Current HP (Invincible while preserving their exact current health, allowing players to permanently maintain a damaged health-bar state for aesthetic or mechanical purposes).
Immersive Creeping Decay Shader When decay is accumulated, a custom post-processing shader smoothly fades in. It generates an organic, creeping dark-purple vignette along the screen edges accompanied by floating void dust. The vignette dynamically expands and recedes in sync with your actual decay level.
Demonstration Weapons
Erosion Sword: Sweeps space to deal absolute max-HP erosion damage. Toggles the invincible states via Shift + Right-Click.
Void Shred Sword: Tears open spatial ruptures and triggers gravitational collapses, pulling nearby targets toward the player.
