Elite Mobs 2: The Sequel of Dante's Inferno

🔥 Abandon all hope, ye who enter here 🔥

Elite Mobs 2 turns every night into a hunt. Named elite monsters rise from the dark with boosted health and damage, real armor, enchanted weapons and deadly special powers. Climb Dante's nine circles of Hell, collect their dusts to forge legendary gear, and when you are ready... summon Lucifer himself. 😈

Fabric · Forge · NeoForge | Minecraft 1.20.1 → 26.3 | Singleplayer & servers

Features
  • 👹 Five elite tiers — Rough, Elite, Champion, Berserker and Lucifer, each stronger, better geared and more rewarding than the last.
  • ⚡ Twelve affixes — special powers like lightning strikes, fireballs, teleports, zombie hordes, shields, damage reflection, life drain, a freezing aura and an abyssal pull, shown in the elite's name.
  • 🌑 The nine circles of Hell — your personal difficulty, from peaceful Limbo to merciless Treachery. Unlock deeper circles by wearing better armor and gaining levels, then pick yours with Ctrl + I.
  • 🌙 Night hunts — every night in the Overworld, elites spawn near each player; how many depends on the circle they chose.
  • 😈 A real boss fight — build the Lucifer altar and face a flying demon with phases, meteors, fire and an infernal nova.
  • ⚒️ Elite dusts — every elite drops dust that upgrades your weapons and armor on the anvil, up to [Lucifer] gear.
  • 🏷️ Unique names like "Wrathful Zombie of the Burning Plains", boss bars for the strongest tiers and a chat announcement when something dangerous appears.
Elite tiersThe five elite tiers

Every elite is a vanilla monster (zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, pillagers, endermen, witches, piglins, blazes, wither skeletons, shulkers and more, depending on the dimension) that glows, never despawns, hunts the nearest player and gets Speed, Strength and, from Champion up, Regeneration. On top of its tier, the active circle multiplies its health and damage again. Kill it to earn its dust and a big pile of experience (from 15 XP for a Rough elite in Limbo to thousands for Lucifer in Treachery).

AffixesThe twelve affixes

Many elites roll an affix: a special power written in brackets before their name, like [Electrifying] or [Plaguebringer]. The stronger the tier and the deeper the circle, the more likely an elite gets one (up to 90%). Powers with a big attack always warn you first — smoke, sparks under your feet or a ghast scream — so you have a moment to dodge.

New in 6.1.1: [Vampiric] heals itself with every hit, [Frostbound] freezes anyone who stays close like powder snow does (leather armor protects you, as in vanilla), and [Abyssal] hums, swirls portal particles around you and then drags you straight to it.

The nine circlesDante's nine circles of Hell

Your circle decides how many elites hunt you each night, which tiers they roll and how strong they are. Each player picks their own circle, so friends on a server can play at different difficulties.

  • 🔓 Unlocking: a circle opens once you have worn the required armor at least once and reached the required XP level. Progress is remembered per world.
  • 🎮 Choosing: press Ctrl + I to open the circle menu, hover a circle to see its requirements, and click an unlocked one.
  • ☠️ Deeper is deadlier: from Violence on, elites get an extra health and damage boost and show up in netherite.
LuciferSummoning Lucifer

Stack two Soul Sand blocks and place a Dragon Head on top. The altar explodes, night falls, and Lucifer appears with a purple boss bar, infernal netherite gear and 10x health.

  • 🪽 He flies straight at you, tearing through every block around him and leaving a field of fire behind.
  • ☄️ Meteors: flames mark the ground near you, then a giant fireball falls there.
  • 💫 Infernal Nova: a ring of soul fire grows around him — get out before it detonates, or take heavy damage, burn and get thrown away.
  • 🩸 Every hit he lands sets you on fire and gives you Wither and Weakness.
  • ⚔️ Phases: at 75% and 50% health he summons a buffed Berserker; at 25% he blows up the area and calls five more.
  • 💀 When he dies his core collapses — a huge blast that levels the land around him. Win, grab your 8 Lucifer Dust and run.

⚠️ Lucifer is meant for players with netherite gear in a world they don't mind scarring. Don't summon him next to your base!

UpgradesUpgrading gear with elite dusts

Put a sword, axe, tool or armor piece in the anvil with an elite dust to upgrade it. The item gets a tier tag in its name, extra attack damage or armor, and from Champion up, bonus enchantments — even above vanilla's maximum levels. Each upgrade uses one dust, and you can always go up a tier (Rough → Elite → Champion → Berserker → Lucifer).

Commands
  • /elite — spawn a random elite for your circle near you.
  • /elite tough | elite | champion | berserker — spawn an elite of that tier.
  • /elite affix <affix> — spawn an Elite with the affix you pick (brutal, infernal_touch, electrifying, bomber, plaguebringer, blink, regenerating, shielded, reflective, vampiric, frostbound, abyssal).
  • /elite level <circle> — set your circle directly (limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud, treachery).
  • /elite info — your circle, bosses per night, highest level and which circles you have unlocked.

The /elite commands are for operators. Lucifer can only be summoned with the altar.
