About this project
What does Energy Turrets add?
Energy Turrets
Adds three color-coded energy turrets — blue, green, and red — for use with Aeronautics ships. Each turret shares the same solid cannon model, but fires its own uniquely colored, glowing energy bolt with its own shoot sound.
Features
- Three turret colors, each independently configurable
- Manned or automated firing — ride the turret and aim manually, or trigger it via redstone or a P2P-linked seat's fire button for unmanned, automated defenses (Space War Aeronautics required)
- Wrench-adjustable aim — right-click a turret with a wrench (Create's or Space War Aeronautics') to nudge its base facing 1° clockwise, or shift-right-click for counterclockwise; useful for fine-tuning an automated turret's aim without breaking and replacing it
- Configurable per color via
config/energy_turrets.json— explosion force and fire rate, independently tunable for each turret - Selective destruction — turret fire only destroys Copycats+ blocks and the vanilla redstone block by default (toggleable to allow any block)
- Infinite energy — no power system to manage; this addon is about core turret gameplay, not resource gating
Requires
- Aeronautics (
space_war_aeronautics) - Sable
Adding more colors
The mod ships with a README explaining exactly how to add new turret variants (new colors, sounds, and tuning) — no new code required, just a few config and resource entries.
