About this project

What does Teleport Animation add?

🌀 Teleport Animation

Cinematic GTA-style teleport transitions for Minecraft.

✨ Overview

Teleport Animation brings cinematic teleport transitions to Minecraft. Every time you use /tp or /teleport, instead of an instant cut, the camera smoothly zooms into the sky, glides across the world, and descends back to your destination — creating a seamless and immersive traveling experience.

🎯 Features

🎬 Cinematic Camera Animation

The camera zooms out, travels above the terrain, and zooms back in on arrival — fully animated and configurable.

📐 3-Stage Zoom Heights

Fully configurable pull and push stages for the zoom effect, with per-dimension settings for Overworld, Nether, and End.

🔊 Custom Sounds

Distinctive sound effects for each animation step: camera zoom, step flash, and travel wind.

🎨 Step Flash Overlay

Subtle screen flash at each zoom stage to enhance the transition feel.

🧊 Chunk-by-Chunk Mask Fade

Terrain fades out and in following the camera's direction of travel, avoiding abrupt visual cuts.

⏸️ Player Freeze

Optionally freeze movement and look controls during the transition.

🔌 Broad Mod Compatibility

Seamlessly integrates with Waystones, JourneyMap, Sodium, Iris Shaders, Distant Horizons, Bobby, Voxy, and Leawind's Third Person.

🌍 Cross-Dimension Travel

Full animation support for dimension changes, with a special fallback when chunks are still loading.

⚙️ Fully Configurable

Every parameter (heights, tick lengths, volumes, toggles) is adjustable via the in-game config screen or a .properties file.

📋 Requirements

Minecraft 26.1.2
NeoForge 26.1.2.78

🎮 How to Use

  1. Use /gtp on|off to toggle the teleport effect on or off.
  2. Use /gtp status to check if the effect is enabled.
  3. Use /gtp player_freeze on|off to toggle player freeze during transitions.
  4. Use /gtp to open the configuration screen.

The mod intercepts any /tp, /teleport, or /execute ... run tp command as well as teleport packets from Waystones and JourneyMap.
