About this project
What does Dungeon Conquest API add?
Dungeon Conquest API is an instanced dungeon system inspired by the Fabric mod Dungeonz.
This mod allows you to add massive, renewable dungeon structures using datapacks. All you need are your structure's NBT files and a JSON file that lets Dungeon Conquest API recognize your dungeon.
Since the structures generated by the mod exist in a dedicated dimension and follow specialized generation logic, you can load truly colossal dungeons without any severe performance impact.
How Does the Dungeon System Work?
The mod introduces a new block: dungeon_conquest_api:dungeon_portal. When placed, you set the ID of the dungeon to be created upon entering the portal. Once a player steps into the dungeon dimension, the game searches for a dungeon_conquest_api:dungeon_spawn block and instantly teleports the player to its location, allowing you to set the exact spawn point when building your structure. There is also a dungeon_conquest_api:dungeon_exit block, which naturally serves as the way back out of the dungeon.
When a dungeon is created, it links directly to the portal, allowing players to enter and exit freely while preserving their progress. Upon creation, a 5-hour countdown begins, after which the dungeon is deleted -allowing it to regenerate with refreshed mobs and loot. If any players are still inside when the cleanup is scheduled to happen, the system delays the reset by 20 minutes.
