About this project
What does Hero Genesis add?
Hero Genesis
Awaken your power. Build your legend. Decide what the world will remember.
Hero Genesis transforms Minecraft into a living superhero RPG where powers are discovered, trained, combined, and shaped by the choices you make.
You may be born with a rare innate ability, awaken after surviving a near-fatal attack, gain power from lightning or defeated bosses, discover ancient artifacts, or accept a dangerous pact. Every power begins as potential: use it, earn experience, unlock stronger abilities, discover synergies, and climb from an unknown F-rank survivor to an S+ force capable of changing the world.
But strength is only part of your story.
Villages remember heroes and fear villains. Merchants offer different opportunities depending on your reputation. Wanted players appear on physical bounty stands for other players to hunt. Ancient manuals reveal fragments of a forgotten history, while rituals, supernatural creatures, meteor showers, sieges, and power storms make the world react to the people becoming powerful within it.
Will you become a symbol of hope, a feared villain, or something between the two?

Every ability’s Details page explains its exact damage, range, radius, healing, duration, cooldown, mastery requirement, and level scaling.
Discover Powers Naturally
Powers are part of survival progression rather than being handed to the player immediately.
You can gain them through:
- Rare innate powers when first entering the world
- Surviving near-death experiences
- Lightning awakenings
- Defeating the Wither or Ender Dragon
- Crafted Power Crystals
- Named artifacts that grant specific powers
- Rare merchant relics
- Dangerous villainous pacts
- Power evolution
Your Luck attribute can improve favorable awakening and reward chances, giving long-term character development an effect beyond ordinary combat statistics.
Power Levels, Mastery and Evolution
Every power can be trained from level 1 to level 50.
Using abilities grants power XP. As a power grows, it progresses through three mastery stages:
- Novice: The power’s first abilities become available.
- Adept: More advanced abilities and passives are unlocked.
- Master: The power reaches its complete moveset.
Certain weaker powers can evolve after reaching level 50 and Master mastery:
- Minor Flight evolves into Flight
- Minor Strength evolves into Kinetic Punch
- Spark evolves into Lightning
- Minor Heal evolves into Healing
- Blink evolves into Phase Shift
Training Focus allows you to prioritize one power’s growth, while daily bonuses and diminishing returns encourage using different abilities rather than endlessly repeating one action.
Combine Powers into Synergies
Equipping compatible powers creates special hybrid effects.
Examples include:
- Flashstep: Lightning and mobility improve dashes, blinks, and cooldowns.
- Frostweave: Water and ice create a freezing aura.
- Jet: Fire and air leave a burning trail during flight.
- Blastwave: Fire and force cause knockback attacks to ignite enemies.
- Continuum: Time and space reduce ability cooldowns.
- Vitality: Life and body powers increase maximum health.
Your equipped loadout, unequipped collection, power levels, mastery, and active synergies all contribute to your overall rank.
Player XP, ATR Levels and Attributes
Every real power XP gain also contributes to your account-wide Player XP.
Player XP raises your ATR Level, which ranges from 1 to 100. Each new ATR level awards one permanent attribute point that can be assigned to:
- Mining: Improves block-breaking speed
- Health: Adds permanent maximum hearts
- Speed: Improves movement speed
- Strength: Increases attack damage
- Luck: Multiplies favorable chances and rare rewards
The Stats screen displays your character model, skin, name, total Player XP, ATR progress, available points, attribute levels, and live Minecraft statistics.
Attribute spending is validated by the server and persists through death and world restarts.
Become a Hero or a Villain
Alignment ranges from -1000 to +1000 and changes according to your actions.
Protecting villages, defeating monsters, curing villagers, completing heroic contracts, and stopping dangerous events can improve your alignment.
Murdering villagers, killing golems or pets, dealing with the black market, completing sacrifices, attacking heroes, and using forbidden pacts can push you toward villainy.
Your alignment affects:
- Hero and villain titles
- Rank bonuses
- Village reactions
- Iron golem behavior
- Merchant missions
- NPC dialogue
- Daily village gifts
- Bounty eligibility
- Advancement paths
- Access to forbidden opportunities
Villagers celebrate recognized heroes and flee known villains. Beloved heroes may receive gifts and assistance from iron golems, while wanted villains are actively hunted.
Multiplayer Player Bounties
Players who become sufficiently villainous can receive real bounties.
When a wanted villain visits a village, the village can construct a protected, glowing, two-block Bounty Stand near its center. The stand displays the villain’s actual player-skin head and stores their name and reward.
Eligible heroes can inspect the stand and accept the contract. If the hunter personally kills the exact wanted player:
- The reward is granted automatically
- The hunter gains positive alignment
- Power XP and emeralds are awarded
- A rare Resonant Crystal may be obtained
- Every stand for that criminal becomes visibly empty
- Competing claims are closed
- The displayed head disappears
A village can maintain multiple neighboring stands for different criminals, creating a physical multiplayer bounty board rather than a hidden command-only system.
Custom Creatures
Eight original supernatural creatures appear throughout the world:
- Living Lightning
- Ember Beast
- Ice Wraith
- Crystal Golem
- Stone Titan
- Wind Serpent
- Void Stalker
- Mimic
Each creature has its own model, texture, spawn conditions, combat behavior, animations, and valuable material drops.
Void Stalkers hunt corrupted players through walls. Mimics disguise themselves as chests. Crystal Golems reflect projectiles. Stone Titans throw boulders. Wind Serpents create tornado fields, while Ember Beasts ignite the ground as they pursue their prey.
Their drops are used for artifacts, rituals, manuals, progression, and rare trades.
Trainers, Wanderers and Merchants
Hero Genesis adds several important NPC types with original models, persistent relationships, readable dialogue, and visible nameplates.
Hero Trainers
Retired heroes can appear near villages. They offer:
- Safe sparring matches
- Daily training
- Relationship progression
- Personal dialogue
- Quests
- Power XP
- Local protection against hostile creatures
Sparring is non-lethal, and trainers return to friendly behavior when the match ends.
Rook the Wayfarer
A rare powered wanderer with multiple possible combat styles. Rook can tell stories, spar with the player, and eventually become a persistent traveling ally.
Astra Vell
A licensed power merchant who trades training manuals, crystals, creature materials, ritual books, and rare named artifacts. Heroic players can also receive a three-stage alignment mission chain from Astra.
The Veiled Broker
A night-only black-market dealer offering forbidden artifacts, contraband, pact items, and villainous missions. Trading with the Broker lowers your alignment, and the dealer disappears at dawn.
Merchants use Minecraft-inspired limited offers, multiple-item costs, daily rotating stock, merchant XP, and proper trading screens. They also flee when attacked instead of standing still and dying.
World Events
The world can experience large server-wide threats, including:
- Violent Power Storms with real rain and thunder
- Destructive Meteor Showers that create large craters
- Village Sieges with coordinated attackers
- Supernatural monster encounters
- Hostile ritual activity
Events display their remaining time, objectives, and attacker counts similarly to a raid. Nearby participants receive themed rewards, power XP, and alignment changes after a successful victory.
Meteor showers are long, visible, dangerous, and destructive when block damage is enabled. Power Storms use Minecraft’s real weather system and can end early after all hostile creatures remain defeated.
Ancient Rituals and the Grand History
Ritual manuals contain real written-book pages, strange symbols, rotatable block patterns, exact ingredients, mechanical instructions, and fragments of the mod’s hidden history.
Working rituals include:
- Purifying corruption
- Awakening lightning powers
- Forging artifacts
- Performing the forbidden Blood Tithe
The Blood Tithe requires a villager to be physically restrained with Binding Rope. Completing it causes a severe alignment penalty but may grant permanent bonus hearts.
Other manuals describe sealed bosses and future structure-summoning rituals. These are clearly marked WIP, consume nothing, and cannot accidentally summon unfinished encounters or damage the player’s world.
Across ruined records, manuals, field notes, monuments, merchants, and forgotten symbols, players can uncover the Grand History of Event Zero, erased heroes, the First Archivist, the First Architect, and the origin of power artifacts.
Detailed In-Game Interface
Hero Genesis includes a complete shared interface for:
- Owned powers
- Exact power and attack details
- Loadout management
- Training focus
- Rank progression
- Alignment and mission progress
- Player XP and attributes
- Leaderboards
- Client-side settings and help
The built-in guide explains power acquisition, training, alignment, bounties, NPCs, trading, events, rituals, controls, ATR progression, and Luck.
Players can independently customize UI size, HUD elements, notifications, sounds, dialogue speed, automatic guides, and other personal preferences without changing server mechanics.
Multiplayer and Server Friendly
Hero Genesis is designed for both single-player and multiplayer.
Important actions including XP, cooldowns, ability use, attribute spending, bounty completion, trades, rituals, alignment, and rewards are validated by the server.
Server owners can configure:
- Power XP speed
- Awakening chances
- Cooldown scaling
- Synergy strength
- NPC spawning
- World events
- Event frequency
- Terrain damage
- Leaderboards
Powers, synergies, dialogue, quests, alignment missions, and rituals use data-driven definitions, making the mod easier to expand and customize.
Current Requirements
- Minecraft Java Edition 26.2
- Minecraft Forge 65
- Install on both the client and server
- No additional gameplay mods are required
Hero Genesis is still expanding. Custom bosses, generated ritual structures, factions, advanced hero patrols, and several endgame encounters are intentionally being kept out of survival until they are complete.
Your power may be an accident. What you become is a choice.
