✨ Overview

Equivalent Legacy revives the classic Equivalent Exchange gameplay loop for modern Minecraft (26.2 / NeoForge). Every item and block carries an EMC (Energy-Matter-Currency) value, and once you know the recipe you can transmute practically anything into anything else — no more inventory full of junk you can't use.

The mod is currently in early development (0.0.0-beta.1). The core EMC system and configuration layer are being ported first; the full toolchain below reflects the target feature set inherited from ProjectE / Equivox and will be enabled progressively across beta releases.

🎯 Planned Features

💠 EMC System

Assigns an EMC value to items and blocks, derived automatically from crafting and brewing recipes, with support for custom EMC value overrides and conversion group files for full control over the economy.

🔄 Transmutation

The Philosopher's Stone and Transmutation Tablet let you convert any known item into any other known item of equal or lesser EMC value, right from your inventory.

⛏️ Philosopher's Stone Toolchain

Progress through the classic tool line — Philosopher's Stone, Dark Matter, and Red Matter tools and armor — each tier unlocking more powerful transmutation and combat capabilities.

📦 Alchemical Bag & Chest

Portable and stationary EMC-powered storage that can transmute items on the fly, without needing to open a crafting interface.

🌀 Collectors, Condensers & Relays

Automate EMC generation and item collection: Collectors gather energy from placed items, Condensers convert stored EMC back into items, and Relays move EMC between machines.

⭐ Klein Star & Energy Storage

Klein Stars store large amounts of EMC for later use — power your transmutations even when far from your main base.

🧩 Compatibility

Curios slot support for wearable EMC items, and recipe-mapper based EMC calculation that adapts to other mods' crafting and brewing recipes automatically.

🎮 How to Use

1. Install the mod on both client and server.
2. Craft a Philosopher's Stone and start learning items by transmuting known matter.
3. Configure EMC values and conversion overrides via the mod config, or drop custom conversion group files as documented in the wiki (coming soon).
