Multi Feature Preview

Core Overhaul

Core Overhaul aims to rework several core systems of the game, primarily focusing on XP based progression. Every feature can be freely enabled and disabled from the config screen, allowing the mod to be used as a complete overhaul or for a single feature if you wish.

Configurable Features Include

  • XP Progression Rework
  • Enchantment Rework
  • Anvil Repairing Rework
  • Farming XP Gain
  • Archaeology XP Gain
  • Looting on more weapons (only optional on 1.21.1)
  • Cushion-like Carpet placement (1.21.1 only)
  • Enhanced Item Frame placement (1.21.1 only)

XP Progression Rework

XP Levels now require a fixed amount of XP instead of Vanilla's exponentially increasing costs. Defeating unique Hostile Mobs adds to a hidden progression system that gives a multiplier to any gained XP, helping XP gain scale naturally into the late game.

Enchantment Rework

Enchanting tables have a larger and less restrictive enchantment power radius, and include a bigger list of blocks that can be added to via data driven jsons, valid blocks will emit particles when placed. Chiseled Bookshelves with Enchanted Books now skew enchanting table results slightly with each book nearby. Tridents can also now recieve the Looting Enchantment.

Anvil Repairing Rework

Removes the exponential repair penalty, and Material costs now scale with an item's Enchantments. Netherite items always require one Netherite Scrap, and Tridents can now be repaired with Prismarine Shards/Crystals.

Farming XP Gain

Mature Crops give XP that diminishes over time, waiting a short while will allow for more Crop XP gain.

Archaeology XP Gain

Brushing Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel now gives XP for each block successfully brushed.

Looting on more weapons (only optional on 1.21.1)

Adds looting to Tridents, Maces, and Axes

Cushion-like Carpet placement (1.21.1 only)

Carpets can now be placed inside of blocks in the form of block entities, only places as a block entity when they are unable to be placed normally

Enhanced Item Frame placement (1.21.1 only)

Item Frames conform to the face of whatever block it is placed on, additionally splashing a potion of Invisibility makes Item Frames invisible when there is an item inside them
