About this project

What does Entity modifier add?

🛠️ Entity Modifier

Based on NeoForge 26.1.2 | Visual, globally‑effective entity editing tool – no coding required, all through an intuitive GUI.

✨ Core Features

  • Exclusive Item Access
Use the custom item entity_modifier_item (right‑click) to open the main GUI. All operations are client‑side; changes are automatically synchronised over the network.

  • Entity List & 3D Preview
Browse all registered entities (localised name + registry name) with a real‑time 3D model preview on the right, automatically scaled to fit. Supports multi‑dimensional filtering (11 categories, mod origin, search) and sorting (by name, registry name, mod, or type).

  • Attribute & Advanced Effect Editing
Dynamically displays editable attributes per entity type (general, living, projectile, vehicle, item, global multipliers), with input limits up to Java type maxima. Includes 30+ advanced effects (offensive, defensive, survival, phase‑transition, special) – each independently togglable and parametrisable.

  • Configuration Profile Management
All changes (base attributes, advanced effects, Curios presets) can be saved as named configuration profiles under config/entity_modifier/. Supports hot‑reloading; profiles can be switched or applied at any time and take effect globally.

  • FTB Quest Integration
When FTB quest mods are installed, a new reward type “Apply Entity Modifier Profile” becomes available. Upon claiming the reward, the specified profile is automatically applied.

⚙️ Attribute Modification Overview

Category Adjustable Items (Selected)
General Invulnerability, silent, no gravity, glowing, invisible, fire immunity, scale, pushable, can be picked up (items)
Living Health, armour, armour toughness, attack damage, attack speed, movement speed, flying speed, knockback resistance, follow range, jump strength
Living Advanced Baby, persistent, can pick up loot, disable AI, custom name
Projectile / Vehicle / Item Damage / piercing / knockback; max speed / vehicle invulnerability; pickup delay / lifespan / never pick up
Global Multipliers One‑click multiplicative adjustment for all living‑entity attributes

🎯 Advanced Effects (Highlights)

  • Offensive: Life steal, critical hit, multi‑strike, percentage damage bonus, true damage, execution (threshold), fire, wither, knock‑up
  • Defensive: Thorns, dodge, damage absorption, extended invulnerability frames, thorn aura, explosion/magic/all‑damage reduction
  • Survival: Percentage/fixed HP regeneration per second, heal on kill, low‑HP accelerated regen, resurrection (charges + cooldown)
  • Phase Transition: Threshold‑based stage switching (attribute bonuses), damage increase/reduction and speed boost proportional to missing HP
  • Special: Spawn entities on death, explosion on death, experience/drop multipliers, slowing aura, projectile reflection, full heal after idle time

💍 Curios Integration

Automatically detects whether Curios is loaded; hides related UI if not installed. Assign default accessories for each slot (head, necklace, ring, etc.). Even non‑player entities can benefit from Curios effects (via reflection compatibility).

💾 Persistence & Global Application

  • Profiles are stored as JSON files. When an entity enters the world (EntityJoinLevelEvent), its corresponding modifications are automatically applied.
  • Server‑client network synchronisation (custom packets) ensures consistency between sides.

🧩 Technical Highlights

  • NeoForge 26.1.2 + Java 25, mod ID: entity_modifier
  • Reflection‑based Curios compatibility – no hard dependency
  • Event‑driven (combat/life/tick/death events), independent of vanilla attribute system
  • Gson serialisation with hot‑reload support – changes take effect immediately after saving

📦 Summary

From basic numeric tweaks to complex combat mechanics, from accessory presets to configuration profiles – everything is managed through a straightforward graphical interface, requiring zero code or commands. With FTB quest integration, profile switching becomes fully automated, giving you complete control over in‑game entities!
