Bug Reports & Suggestions

Bugs, suggestions, and general feedback can be submitted through:

  • The built-in FluffDeco reporting system
  • The FluffDeco Discord
  • The CurseForge comments

Starting with FluffDeco 0.16.154, bug reports and suggestions can be submitted directly from Minecraft:

  • /fluffdeco bugreport <reason> - Submit a bug report
  • /fluffdeco suggest <reason> - Submit a suggestion
  • /fluffdeco deletedata - Permanently delete report and suggestion data associated with your local FluffDeco reporting identity

The in-game reporting system is useful when reporting an issue with a specific FluffDeco item or block because it can optionally include the item or block you are currently holding.

For general questions, feedback, troubleshooting, or discussion, you can also use the FluffDeco Discord or CurseForge comments.

Before FluffDeco sends reporting data for the first time, it displays a privacy information screen explaining:

  • What information is sent to the FluffDeco API
  • What information is stored
  • What information may be publicly visible
  • How reports and suggestions are associated with your installation
  • What information remains private
  • How IP address handling works
  • How to permanently remove your submitted data

You must acknowledge this screen before using the reporting system.

Your acceptance is stored in fluffdeco.properties. If the setting is missing or set to false, FluffDeco displays the privacy information again before allowing another submission.

FluffDeco does not send or store your Minecraft username or Minecraft UUID as part of the reporting identity.

Instead, FluffDeco creates a random reporting ID locally for your installation. This allows reports from the same installation to be associated without linking them to your Minecraft account.

A private deletion token is also generated and stored locally. It is used to authenticate /fluffdeco deletedata requests and is never shown on the public reporting website.

When submitting a bug report or suggestion, the API may receive:

  • Your random FluffDeco reporting ID
  • The report or suggestion text you entered
  • Whether the submission is a bug report or suggestion
  • The FluffDeco item or block you are holding, only when applicable and you choose to include it
  • Information required by FluffDeco to process and display the submission

If you are holding a FluffDeco block or item when submitting a report, FluffDeco asks whether you want to include it.

After a successful submission, FluffDeco provides a clickable link allowing you to view the report or suggestion online.

Submitted report and suggestion information may be publicly viewable through the FluffDeco reporting website. Private deletion credentials are never displayed publicly.

The FluffDeco reporting application does not intentionally collect or store IP addresses. The hosting provider may independently process normal connection information as part of operating the web service.

/fluffdeco deletedata requires confirmation before sending your locally stored reporting credentials to the API and permanently deleting the reports and suggestions associated with that reporting identity.

Reports or comments submitted separately through Discord or CurseForge are handled by those platforms and are not part of the FluffDeco in-game reporting API or /fluffdeco deletedata system.
