About this project
What does Farmer's Future Delight add?
Farmer's Future Delight
Bring newer Minecraft content to your Forge 1.12.2 world.
Farmer's Future Delight backports selected blocks, creatures, materials, and gameplay systems from newer Minecraft versions. Use it as a standalone expansion or as a source of ingredients and materials for Farmer's Delight-style add-ons.
Its content is integrated into survival gameplay through exploration, world generation, farming, crafting, and gathering. It is not a separate cooking overhaul.
Update Aquatic
Explore a more varied ocean, swim beneath the surface, and discover new reasons to venture underwater.
- Cod, salmon, pufferfish, tropical fish, dolphins, drowned, and fish buckets.
- Tridents with Loyalty, Impaling, Riptide, and Channeling.
- Coral and coral fans, kelp, seagrass, sea pickles, blue ice, bubble columns, conduits, nautilus shells, and hearts of the sea.
- Modern ocean biomes, coral reefs, icebergs, shipwrecks, ocean ruins, buried treasure, and treasure maps.
- Modern swimming, biome-dependent water colors, underwater fog, and improved underwater visibility.
- Waterlogging for supported blocks, with configurable support for fluids other than water.
- Stripped logs and wood, along with prismarine stairs and slabs.
Caves & Cliffs World Type
Choose the optional Caves & Cliffs world type when creating a world to explore an Overworld extending from Y=-64 to Y=319.
Discover three-dimensional Lush Caves and Dripstone Caves, modern mountain biomes, deeper underground regions, aquifers, ore veins, amethyst geodes, and updated terrain generation.
The extended height belongs to this world type. Ordinary world types keep the standard 1.12.2 height, while supported aquatic content can also appear in ordinary worlds.
New terrain and naturally generated features require newly generated areas; updating the mod does not rebuild existing terrain.
More to Discover
The mod also includes a wide selection of other modern content:
- Bees, nests, beehives, honey, honeycombs, and sweet berries.
- Turtles, turtle eggs, axolotls, goats, phantoms, and glow squids.
- Moss, glow berries, azaleas, dripleaves, hanging roots, spore blossoms, and glow lichen.
- Crimson and warped forests, Nether vegetation, and their wood families.
- Deepslate building blocks, amethyst, copper and weathering, dripstone, candles, powder snow, lightning rods, chains, tinted glass, spyglasses, goat horns, glow item frames, and the Otherside music disc.
Custom Content for Modpacks
Adapt the mod to the materials and wood types already present in your pack.
- Raw ores: source-aware support for other mods' ores, with material controls, storage blocks, smelting, and supported processing integrations.
- Deepslate ores: variants linked to their ordinary source ores, retaining the relevant drops and supported processing behavior.
- Custom JSON definitions: define additional raw ores, deepslate ores, and stripped-wood families using automatically created example files.
- Generation commands: scan installed content and generate reviewable JSON definitions for raw ores and stripped wood.
Processing integrations include supported content from mods such as IndustrialCraft 2, Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Ender IO, and Tinkers' Construct. Compatibility depends on the material, recipe, and installed mod.
Review generated definitions before enabling them. Newly registered custom content requires a full restart.
Configuration and Compatibility
Many features offer ENABLED, AUTO, and DISABLED modes.
AUTO lets supported external content providers take precedence where a matching compatibility rule exists. This helps combine the mod with other backports without unnecessarily duplicating content.
Aquatic compatibility modes default to AUTO for new or missing configuration entries. Existing saved settings are preserved.
Compatibility includes selected integrations with other backport mods, aquatic systems, rendering mods, and mapping tools. AUTO is based on supported mappings, not a universal guarantee that every overlapping mod is interchangeable.
Commands and Documentation
