About this project
What does BetterSmithingPlus add?
📖 Introduction
This mod adds a new smithing table—one that doesn't consume smithing templates.
✨ Core Features
- Templates Never Consumed: Smithing templates (netherite upgrade templates, armor trim templates, etc.) are never used up and can be reused infinitely. Base items and addition materials are still consumed following vanilla rules.
- Full Recipe Support: Works with all vanilla smithing recipes, and also supports custom recipes from data packs—no extra configuration needed.
- Input/Output Automation: A full container block that supports hoppers and other automation. Templates, base items, and addition materials can be pushed in from the top or sides; the output can be pulled out from the bottom (base and addition get consumed, the template stays). Items drop when the block is broken, and the GUI stays in sync with the automation in real time.
