About this project
What does Traffic Engine add?
A comprehensive traffic, road, and city-management mod designed to bring modern Minecraft cities to life.
Traffic Engine is inspired by TrafficCraft and expands its foundation with new building tools, dynamic mechanics, enhanced customization, realistic road textures, and optimized performance.
✨ Key Features
- Realistic Asphalt Variants: Includes 6 asphalt styles—Default, Damaged, Heavy Damaged, Light, Dark, and Dirty—with seamless random texture tiling. All five additional asphalt types also include slope versions.
- Realistic Speed Bumps: Functional Flat and Wide Speed Bumps with directional placement, accurate hitboxes, improved models, and proper inventory appearances.
- Flexible Sign Placement: Traffic Signs support double-sided and wall-mounted modes. Signs attached to Traffic Poles can also use angled placement.
- Horizontal and Diagonal Traffic Systems: Includes Horizontal Traffic Lights and automatically adjusting Diagonal Traffic Lights and Traffic Signs based on placement direction.
- Traffic LED Panel: A programmable LED panel with customizable pixel patterns and colors.
- Traffic Information Display: A large programmable display for road information, warnings, and custom messages.
- Traffic Lights with Digital Countdown: Realistic traffic lights featuring dynamic countdown displays, synchronized schedules, and improved world-transition handling.
- Bike Lane Improvements: Includes a new Bike Lane Divider and support for applying bicycle logos, pedestrian logos, lines, and other markings without removing the existing painted surface.
- Pattern Catalogue System: Change the shape and decal of Traffic Signs instantly using Pattern Catalogue items.
- Smart Traffic Lights and Street Lamps: Configure and synchronize intersections using the Traffic Light Linker, Wrench, and Street Lamp Config Card.
- New Turnstile Barrier: Adds a functional new barrier model for stations, controlled areas, and modern city builds.
- Expanded Traffic Signs: A large collection of international road signs.
🔄 Seamless Migration from TrafficCraft!
Already have a large city built with the original TrafficCraft? No problem!
Traffic Engine includes a built-in automatic migration system. Remove the old mod, install Traffic Engine, and load your world. Your existing roads, signs, custom patterns, and linked traffic lights will automatically convert to Traffic Engine without losing their data.
❗ Note
For the traffic-light countdown to work accurately after being enabled, allow the controller schedule to complete one full cycle.
