About this project
What does Meanwhile add?
Come back to a machine and let it catch up on the time its chunk was unloaded.
Meanwhile applies missed progress when the chunk loads again, offering an alternative to keeping a chunk loaded for a standalone machine. How much can be caught up, and how quickly, depends on the machine.
This is not a running factory in the background. Item transport, linked production chains, entities, and cross-chunk interactions do not keep working while unloaded. Chunks that remain loaded outside simulation distance are also outside its scope.
With Unloaded Activity installed, that mod handles vanilla furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers. Use a chunk loader when your setup needs machines and transport to keep interacting continuously.
Server-side only: nothing to install on the client, and nothing changes for players who don't have it.
