About this project
What does Stonecutter Sifting add?
Stonecutter Sifting
Give your Stonecutter a second purpose.
Drop supported blocks directly on top of a Stonecutter and it will automatically sift them into useful resources.
Stonecutter Sifting is designed especially for OneBlock, SkyBlock, Superflat and other limited worlds, where otherwise common materials can be difficult or impossible to obtain renewably.
No new machine is required: the vanilla Stonecutter itself becomes the sifter.
How It Works
Simply drop a supported block item onto a Stonecutter.
Every few ticks, the Stonecutter consumes one block and rolls its possible rewards.
Different materials provide different resource pools, ranging from vegetation and building blocks to rarer resources.
Supported Materials
Sifting is available for materials from all three dimensions, including:
Overworld Sand, Red Sand, Gravel, Dirt, Podzol, Rooted Dirt, Moss, Clay and Mud
Nether Soul Sand, Netherrack and Blackstone
End End Stone
Ocean Resources Prismarine, Prismarine Bricks and Dark Prismarine
Ocean Sifting
Version 1.1.0 expands sifting with a new renewable route for Monument and ocean resources.
Prismarine materials can produce combinations of:
- Prismarine Shards
- Prismarine Crystals
- Wet Sponge
- Heart of the Sea
- Living Coral Blocks
Prismarine Bricks and Dark Prismarine provide progressively stronger reward tables.
Sniffer Egg
Sand now has a very rare independent chance to produce a Sniffer Egg.
This is a bonus roll and does not replace Sand's normal sifting reward.
Rare Rewards
Some tables also contain rare rewards.
For example:
- Gravel can produce Diamonds.
- Netherrack has an extremely rare chance to produce Ancient Debris.
- Sand has a 0.25% bonus chance for a Sniffer Egg.
JEI or EMI is strongly recommended if you want to inspect every exact chance in-game.
JEI & EMI
Both JEI and EMI are optionally supported.
Every sifting input, possible output and probability is shown directly in the recipe viewer.
The displayed information is generated from the same tables used by gameplay, so the viewer always represents the actual sifting behavior.
Modpack Support
Stonecutter Sifting is fully standalone and does not depend on any specific OneBlock or modpack.
Modpacks can extend or modify its behavior separately without requiring those additions to become part of the base mod.
An exclusion tag is also available for preventing non-Overworld saplings from entering Dirt's random sapling pool.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.235+
Optional
- JEI
- EMI
The mod must be installed on both the client and server.
